Don't go mad. For a start you might catch me, and come the new year it'll all reset to zero anyway.

What I didn't say is that I am off cycle touring instead. Heading through Scottish borders into England, and down Northumberland coast to Seahouses, Craster and Amble. Hopefully get more miles!!!!

For how long are you off the bike?

Not sure my current knee problem seems to be pulling my hip, neck & lower back out of shape as well, i'm generally painful all over.

Just wish I had got into this earlier. Looking to do all through the winter, and break into the top 20. My real input started from October, wher i have decided to be a real bike commuter. I will be fighting up the monthly list from now on, and for 2010 hopefully right up there.

Top 20 in 10 weeks? Sorry, but assuming you are on the list as "Wallace 1492" (which seems a fair assumption), I'd say you have no chance, unless you mean the recent update list and you are assuming people will drop out through not posting. You'd have to do 250 ish miles EVERY WEEK and have no-one above you posting ANY miles to get there. I'm 1900 miles ahead of you and I very much doubt that I can get any higher than 25th on the full user list by year end, though I'd be very chuffed with that given that I was 47th back in late July.

Now go ahead and prove me wrong!

If ITB is off games then the top order could shuffle in a month (I'm 418 miles off his full year number.

I could break into the top three podium placing.

ITB - have you thought about taking up extreme sports / chain saw juggling etc.

Fair point..... wont make top 20 for the year, as it would be just too many miles..... however starting late has done for me. I never added in the near 1,000 miles done on MTB since June, and probably did about the same again before then. I really feel that I am a "born again" cyclist since getting the Tricross, and am just counting mileage since then.

My goal is to be in the monthly top 10, as this will be a decent target to aim for, and set a good target to aim for.
