Miles added during a week that rolls into a new month are added into the new month's bucket.

If you want your miles to go into the current month during weeks that run into a new month, select the previous week from the drop down.

I need to get round to resolving this one.

Well just see that you do

    tee hee

Tis done. Around month end Stats will check the day number that you enter your stats and send the miles to the relevant month. So around month end, get your miles in before the month changes.

Enjoyed yourself this evening then have you? 8)

I'll mae my target tomorrow morning, but work's making it unlikely I'll beat 1,000 miles for the month. @rse.

Not really, but it was a sacrifice to the greater good I felt, and better than Watching New Tricks, which the elder boy seems to have become obsessed with. I thought teenagers only bothered with The Simpsons etc. Must be worth 25 bonus miles for July though surely?

All August miles that should have been in July now are.

981 for the month. Fusty bum-cheeks! Beat the target, but missed out on 1,000 miles. <grumbles about working late>

Just a quick post. I've done a full month now having decided to get back on the bike, well...I say full month, there were six days I didn't cycle in for whatever reason (house viewings being the main one!).

Got 267 miles in which I thought was reasonable, but looking at some of you guys at the top it looks like I've got a long way to go! Some of those stats are incredible, very impressive!

Let's petition Downing St to have every month start on a Monday. Simplest way to sort out this week/month overlap problem.

Way the table is now, it looks like I had a monstrous weekend. Did 221 miles last week but only 97 of them in August.

Top of the pile. Woohoo.... but for how long?

Damn - just caught up with reading the thread and missed the deadline for the month, so 82 miles in August instead.

Never mind - I'm up for this month

96 miles - me. I'm goign for a straight 30 miles a day minimum in August - though I may sruggle to keep this up in the last week of August due to other commitments.

Crikey there's been some fast starters this month. I'm back in the game now ready for another steady climb up the table.

I'm hoping that the winter will slow down the social riders and I can make some big leaps!

Been a good week so far. Good weather, so extended the ride home most days and set a new PB for the ride into work.
Looks like SalsaJake is making up for lost time!!! Shouldn't you be at home with the wife and kids :?: :)
Bad weather forecast for the weekend though, so I'll probably perform my traditional slide down the table by Monday and have it all to do again next week.

I caught you back but since I caught you you have been keeping me honest, especially yesterday morning when you leapfrogged me until I posted my miles about 2 minutes later! I'm starting to think about top 30 - its a whopping 365 miles away, but there are only a couple of folks with any recent entries between me and 30th - are there lots of teachers on here or have people just lost interest?

Yeah, I keep looking at top 30 and I've seen how many statics are in there.
The problem is, no matter how many miles I do, other people keep doing the same :!:
Its like trying to hit a moving target :D
I think its about time you posted up your monthly target so I know what I'm up against.

My target is to commute 4 days a week and hopefully do some riding each weekend if it all falls into place, I have no real mileage target, it just is what it is, but I quite enjoy logging my stats and seeing what happens as a result! You must have had a bit of a lull about a fortnight ago because I caught you up quite fast when I came back from paternity but can't shake you at the moment!

Meanwhile - not quite at the top:

    8 gtvlusso - 4012 mls.
    9 Gert_lush - 3963 mls.
    10 R_T_A - 3448 mls.
    11 Porgy - 3116 mls.
    12 jimmypippa - 3115 mls.
    13 ChrisInBicester - 2959 mls.
    14 bigease - 2916 mls.

Looks like I've got a long hard slog to get into the top ten. So far I've managed to keep to my stated aim of 30 miles a day - more or less - might by short by 10 or 15 by end of day...but I'll soon make that up.

10-year-old Marin Hawk Hill least buggered of my bikes so I commuted to work off-raod this morning. Got lost, got muddy, got nettled, doubled back a few times. Great ride. Change is as good as a rest. Brilliant.

    Congrats Prawny!

@ Graeme T: I do roughly 100 miles a week on just commuting (5 days). And then I do the occasional longer ride on the way home (15-18 miles). And I'm currently 10th in the list!

And as Porgy is doing 30 miles a day, I may try and do a few longer journeys...

  • I've updated mine after yesterday's "slowcial" and lo and behold I am 2nd in the sort by august link. Ahead of such cycling crack-pots such as ITBoffin and Rich 158. The first time I have ever made the top 10 in any sort option and believe me I have tried. If only mcmullej had decided not to update his stats this morning I would be top.

    I know it won't last.

I was first last Satruday after registering the 2 miles I did that day :D

I seem to be going through a bad patch - just couldn't be arsed cycling today - or over the weekend - something to do with quitting drinking? :?

Anyway - hopefully I'll be motivated by tomorrow - though I'll be hard pushed to make the 800 miles target now, nmay have to downscale that to 600.

As I was only 12 miles behind yesterday I planned to go the slightly longer way home, but it was pi$$ing down. Then this morning I was running late for a meeting - which was then cancelled  - so no chance there.
However, being an hour ahead of you guys I have a fair chance of claiming the prize :D

 Have I shown my hand too early
