Silly Commuter Stats

I've officially put rock climbing on hold - so can now concentrate 100% on cycling.
At the very least that means 4 commutes per week instead of 3 as I used to go climbing on Tuesdays and Thursdays - but no longer.
It also means I can extend the commute on the way home a couple of times a week.
Still have to do a large amount of climbing on my commute but hey it's all good training.0 -
just past the 3000 miles today, only another 7k to go for 10k dream!!Sorry its not me it's the bike ;o)

How on earth do you really high milage guys do it? I mean I know how you do it - you cycle massive distances, but what I mean is how do you find the time?"If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."

Wake up at 6am every morning. Get home around 6:45/7. leave work at 5:20 (work days)
Then weekends it just varies, but again like to get up early and get a ride in the bag.
Sleep is pointless0 -

Not sure I will manage to retain this new place though, don't feel much like cycling for a few days...- Genesis Croix de Fer

Was that non-stop? (excluding natural breaks and eating stops)"If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."

Eating, about 2.5 hours sleep, some faffing about. Ended up being 26.40 hours riding and 37:34 total. Feels like you're riding for ages, but the time off the bike adds up fast.- Genesis Croix de Fer

That is still some effort though. RAA next?"If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."

Is RAA the same as RAAM? I'm entered for LEL at the end of July, but do not fancy it after this weekend! We will see.- Genesis Croix de Fer

You're allowed 115 hours I think, so nearly 5 days. It's 1420 km though, or 882 miles, so you have to keep up about 300 km per day.

Naa the mornings are never a quick affair.0 -
Half term so child care duties are loosing me 2 days of commuting this week. Also trying to sell the house so I didn't get a ride in this morning due to a viewing and the place being a tip. Still, if we get the place I'm looking at it's going to give me a load more route options for the commute, most of them a little longer than I do alreadyDolan Preffisio

Biggest monthly mileage since December 2011 and still got 7 commutes to go. The 800 is just a litle bit out of reach.0
