got lost last night and ended up adding 15 miles to my journey.

With your mileage I'm surprised you noticed an extra 15!

the headwind and snow showers ensured that I noticed it!

It was also a night of karma; 4 x 4 driver went past me beeping his horn and giving me the wonker gesture. 5 miles up the road and his engine appears to be eating his car, as there are plumes of black smoke emerging from under the bonnet...... I didn't laugh at all, well not much.

What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?

Got into the top 30, for a couple of hours, today and should roll over 1400 miles and 100 hours of freewheeling down the road.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

You'll pass me soon, not liking the franken bike I've cobbled together to tide me over, probably can't get the new bike until next week. So the slide down the ranks looks like continuing for another week . :(
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.

    1st!

Carlos, please dont update for today at least, let me have some glory.
  • Childcare duties have had me off work for 4 days and I've missed a couple of club runs since my 187 mile epic ride (the missus thinks I ride to much???). No club run this weekend either so you should pull out a bit of a lead.

Interesting. Although I'm away this weekend too, with no bike...

Something tells me I won't get 2000 miles in this weekend.

It will be neither quick nor easy but, following a 4-week lay-off, the climb back up the table has begun...

    Seems OK now.

Back up to 25th after my mechanical lapse dumped me out of the top 20 with minimal riding for two weeks.

  • Dammit....Had to drive today. May miss out on my first 800 mile month due to mechanicals, hope LBS has a reasonable priced chainring in stock so I can get out sun/mon/tue.....

Note to self - more miles means more frequent fettling.

  • My first ever 1000 mile month moves me up to 23rd position :D

It's very close on the table between 22nd and 29th. Miss a days riding and you can be at the bottom of these 8 positions

Chapeau to those who throw in 1000 mile month regularly
