Silly Commuter Stats

Can I suggest another addition specially for ITBoffin? A column where he can log the number of days he doesn't have a PF visit, got to be a smaller number than the days he does.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

@ITB - you're safe.
@Rich - it's going to be close
Bear with me, but I reckon there's a certain similarity to another mighty cycling contest going on at the moment.
ITB = Bertie. Very classy, but what's with the gun shot thing?
Rich = The Texan. All washed up or master bluff??
That makes me the Bradley Wiggins of SCS!
"Bradley Wiggins! He's a man on a mission!"
Chapeau to ITB & McMullej
I've got my work cut out, to get back to my rightful place
and I'm quite happy to take any comparisons to a certain washed up Texan All bluff?????

Up to you. I sometimes do mine twice a day, once when I get in and again when I get home. It all builds to a month end [anti-]climax. There are no rules as such. Everything on the page is a link to something else. If you're comfortable adding whatever miles you want to claim, stick them on there. Personally I draw the line at miles done on the rollers, but that might be just me who takes that view. All other miles count, esp when you're only 6 behind the guy ahead of you.
Quick afterthought. Stats originally was weekly driven, the upshot of that being a quirk that when miles are added in a week (Monday onwards) that runs into a new month, the miles go into the next month's bucket. I ought to get round to resolving this one really but it won't happen this month. If you want your miles to go into July and you add them next week, select a previous week from the drop down. A message to this effect will be on the Add Miles page for the last week or so of each month to remind the punters of this featurette.
Where's my sig gone with the link in it then? Is it just me who can't see it? :?:0 -
Nope, I can't see it either. Check your profile - I think there's a tick box for the sig?0

Popped a spoke last week so off the bike until the weekend. 61 paltry miles.0

Should be there...
...It is. Odd.0 -
Looks like it goes in a new message but disappears after an edit then. Mods? Why is this?

Mine doesn't, see above:
Do you disable the "Attach signature (signatures can be changed in profile)" tickbox when editing?0 -
It's no fun when the person above you is so far ahead it'll take you ages to catch them up. Can somone join with about 30-50 miles more than me, so I have something to aim for
I know it's not much to some of you, but two hundred and odd miles is a lot to me! :oops:0 -
Too right DeD. I'm still miffed at being effectively two days commutes behind Porgy following my burst of apathy last week. I'll get him though.
Maybe it needs a split so that anyone who hasn't updated their stats in the last two / three weeks is dropped into Division 2 until they bother to stick some more miles up. There are a few who joined up and then failed to add to their score - 13 haven't been in touch since June turned into July.0 -
No, don't do that, the only people I pass are people who have been stopped by the side of the road for a few weeks. I'm back to work off paternity now so trying to get back into the top 40, I passed Moscs this morning, it seems he was sitting by the side of the road about halfway along my commute as that is where I overtook him - I did look out for an emaciated bedraggled figure who had been there for 19 days but he must have been under a bush sheltering from the rain as I didn't see him.0

Ooooooooh I like the new 'gap' feature! Nice one!0 -
If I add myself now, can I put miles in retrospectively?
I know it's got starting mileage - but I think I can work out when I've been in on a bike and when not.0 -
Fear of relegation should get people back on their bikes.0
-
Oh, I see, I can add them retrospectively but only up to the week starting the 18th of May?
Prior go in the starting mileage?0 -
I'd just put them all in starting mileage and then record from now0
-
I've got my own record of commuting miles
And I'm annoying about keeping data consistant, I'm thinking that form is probably fudgable to give me the earlier weeks...0 -
Aidy - you can either whack in your current mileage and go from there, or back track to mid-May and start from there. Up to you, but the aim is to to compete on WTD, current month and ultimately YTD so retrospectively adding previous months won't have any bearing except for you being able to show us all your vast mileages from earlier this summer. The weeks drop down is a rolling -6 to +1 IIRC to allow for holidays & small jail sentences.
Lit - thx. Nice to have the fiddling around efforts appreciated.0 -

This week was meant to be my first full week of commuting, and I've just found out I wont even have my job on Friday. How come that is annoying me more than the redundancy itself!0

I may infact do that. I'll be going for a cycle, that's for sure.0 -
Sorry to hear that deadeye duck, they could have at least done it with immediate effect so you could watch the climax of the tour live on eurosport! Hope that you bounce back and find gainful employment soon, but that you are able to get some good riding in in the meantime.0

First one past 5,000 miles is a big girl. :PFCN 2-4.
