OK - finally worked out my grand total for last week - 152 miles getting to, getting lost on and after finishing the Dynamo; and another 205 for the subsequent week. 357 in total. I must be fitter than I look. 8)

    13 TheStone - 2686 mls.
    14 bigease - 2559 mls.
    15 Porgy - 2538 mls.
    16 SBezza - 2531 mls.
    17 ChrisInBicester - 2505 mls.
    18 Feltup - 2475 mls.

No, it's okay, I would feel exactly the same! I am sad the tyres column has disappeared, though.

Also, I can't fit 8008135, you only allow 5 figures.

Tyres are still there, just hidden on the Today's Updates page so you can see tyres when someone updates their stats, or if you do an update on their behalf and then undo it - the update date is <today>.

The target text box on the form limits input to 5 chars. No-one will cycle 100000 miles in a month. Obviously.

If you were paying attention you'll notice that I hadn't updated in awhile before leaving, then there was the small matter of staying at the home of a college who's a tri athlete with a nice selection of bikes, couple that with some jet lag (no sleep) and you get 440 extra miles over 300 in one week, thank you thank you all very much.

Plus I noticed rich was effectively out of action and couldn't allow that op to go untapped, I do seem to have a slight injury I think, anyways i've not done any miles today so i'm off to round that up to a cool 4600.

@rich nothing for 2nd place my friend, hows the injury coming on?

BTW all Boston is packed with cyclists and motorists general give way even the HUGE trucks, damn hilly though.

I'm back and I'm hungry for miles

Seriously though I'm still taking it easy, the backs eased up but the old quads still aren't firing at all so it's gentle spining all the way. Only four days plus RP planned this week so a paltry 275 - 300 miles will go on this week.

Enjoy the limelight ITB, it's not going to last long

I just added another 40 miles as one does and suffered for the last 20 my calf is fine but my right knee if fooking killing me I stopped 3 times to change my cleat position, to no avail, either pain at the front or back whichever way I adjusted.

is the old boy finally suffering then, I'd ease up on the mileage mate

I'd get the knee checked out mate, it could be that your calf problem has put extra preasure on the knee, rather than it being a cleat issue. I know from bitter experience knee's take a long time to heal.

Back in the top 40 :D

I've had to resort to many different methods to up the milage this week though:

    MTB at the weekend,

    Taking the scenic route home,

Settin off for home in completely the wrong direction and then doubling back,

and then this morning a new technique:

Setting off to work, realising I've forgotton something and returning home for it. If only I hadn't realised so quickly I could have been at P39

You mileage junkies at the top need to 'shoulder check', I fear there are a couple of high mileage 'regulars' yet to join the stats list. Particularly a rider in red on a melted italian superbike.

Wooohoo! Just made 1000 miles! 8)

Mind you, a couple of hundred at least aren't commute miles. Still, I reckon I'm easily on my original target for 2000 commute miles this year given that I've been easing myself in gently. Not sure what the overall should be but I'd hope at least 3.5k.

Marc Mann is just below me in the classification - but his target for the month is around 2000 miles; he's done over 900 already

Chris, did you delete my 80085? Considering it's a column of utter arbitrariness I don't see why it's less valid than anyone else's!

(of course it's possible I deleted it and completely forgot  )

Yeah I did - was hoping you wouldn't spot it tbh. There's arbitrary and outright silly. and you probably did say boobs anyway for all I know. :)

I took it out because it made the place look untidy, if truth be told. The target column isn't an arbitrary column anyway; it's to give those who can't manage 14000 miles per week a chance to hit the top, by coming closest to their predicted target. In that sense it's... ok, arbitrary, but it's a bit more interesting than tyres. If you think you'll only do 8 miles in July and you do 8, you might be top of the tree come month end. I'll be in France by then so won't really bother with it, and it'll have rolled over into August by the time I get back

Feel free to reinstate your 80085. I'll just chunter quietly at it, along with errant apostrophes and comedy grammar that pops up too often on here. We need a 'Gawd it makes my blood boil when...' thread.

No, it's okay, I would feel exactly the same! I am sad the tyres column has disappeared, though.

Also, I can't fit 8008135, you only allow 5 figures.
