Holy crap I just jumped 11 places.

Are you sure you've not broken it even more CiB. I've been in the hundred teens for most of this year, now I'm 106.
Retweaked. There are a few minor climbs & falls as a result but the mileage totals now properly reflect totals for the year so far plus starting miles for those who've joined this year, where relevant. If you've manually adjusted your miles for any reason so that your total wasn't the sum of all your rides this year plus a starting mileage you'll need to do that adjustment again.
  • Yes, I dropped back to 49 :( but I bashed out another 43miles today with Kenton RC so 2998... :) so will break 3000 tomorrow and i'll gain a place too :) Crunchie at the ready!

I've taken the weekend off, other than a few errands yesterday.... why do I feel guilty?
  • Cos you're 121 miles behind Airwave...? tho tbh I can't see you have anything to be worried about (except Running Man) as everyone else is >1000miles behind you. Us lowly mortals can only aspire to these distances :)

should be able to recover than and some week after next, when I'm off work.

Going out for a run now, I think it's going to be hard, having not run for quite some time.
  • Ha! Trust me : neither of them have got anything to be worried about!!

I had a complete mare on Sunday : 118 miles in just over 6 hrs 30 mins and only pig-headed stubborness got me over some of the climbs especially the last one over Caerphilly mountain.

It was the Wales Pro Ride and I had just had one of the those days when my legs refused to work properly.

I'm sure we've discussed this before but there are some days when I feel like crap and fly and others when I can't wait to get on the bike and I ride like a drain ..... yesterday for no discernible reason at all fell into the latter category.

I shall mostly be resting this week :):):)

Looks like I might beat last years total mileage. The total miles so far this year were completed in the first week of October last year :D
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    First 500 mile month!

Bit behind my 100 mile a week target for the year as it's week 35 and i'm just under 3,300. Going to miss two weeks in September as well......

  • I need to get out tomorrow for a quick 8.2miles (working from home in the morning, at a seminar in the afternoon so no commute) to break the 700 miles for the month... and only 2 places behind Sketchley now... should 'pass' you next week :) (got another 60 this week, 150 next plus whatever I do on Sunday = 20 to/from Skyride + ?)

It's not the miles, I've got something viral. Keep getting stomach cramps and when I put in any effort I get heartburn that results in a massive coughing fit. Very undignified.

I'm not getting off the bike and letting you get away though.

:? 1200 miles ahead - should be safe.

Asprilla - keep hitting CJCP with the big mileage and he'll break.

It's going to be down to his weekend passes; commuting wise I've got about 100miles a week over him.

Won't be long until Rolf F is close enough to hear the sound of his creaking knees and I'll be tucked in behind.

That's what he want's you to think.

I need to start putting the miles in. Looks like it could be a long old slog to get a top 10 finish.

The weekend passes are very limted, but this isn't a problem.

Enjoy the park. If you stay ahead by monotonously lapping RP then it will be a deserved victory because I certainly couldn't do it three times a day, five days a week for four months.

Getting on the bike is the quickest way to get home to that lovely cheese and wine. And my family, of course. The difference is that my commute is now almost double yours.
