Stupid detours and a trip down memory lane added 2 miles to the london commute, that's like epic miles in town - yawn!

Bit breezy and cold today in Z smoke, what happened to the 21c from the weekend?

No biking until the weekend due to work shipping me down to Lowestoft. I offered to cycle from Peterborough and save money on the train fair but they werent playing dice :(

Shame. Think im going to have a bit of work on my return.

Weekend outcome: too lazy to get out of bed early on Saturday, gf coming back on Sunday, no miles
Monday outcome: too lazy to get out of bed in time, punished by having to stand in a crowded train.
Today: despite feeling lazy, took the bike. Despite a slight headwind, managed to get some good sensations. Heart rate going up a lot more easily. Think the rest did me some good actually.

Doesn't help with me being 70 miles from Coopster with only 2 more commuting days this week and a stag at the weekend :(

Is there anywhere to log a £ per mile stat as it just got expensive with a new chain, cassette, possible bottom bracket and other running costs that come round very quickly. How do you keep the cost down?

Brought the extended commute into play last night, granted it's not much further, 28 or so miles instead of 22, but it rounds everything up to a nice 50 miles/day  I must be bloody mad!!!!!!!

No miles for me for a week by tomorrow. Caused by a trip to the south of France to watch an 8 hour Le Mans Series race, and a rest day tomorrow, which included sipping a beer sitting right in the middle of the chicane on harbourside bit of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit (grandstands are going up already). That would be a hilly place to post cycling miles, so I left it at a single pedestrian lap of the circuit. What a mental place to have a Grand Prix, excellent.

Truly SCS is the crack of cycling and CiB is some kind of two-wheeled Colombian maniac. Just say no to SCS. Never have I been more glad that my computer is on the blink than when reading this thread.

Tell me about it, I can't go out on my MTB because I haven't got a comp on it and I don't want to lose the miles

I count only the commute bike which is the only bike with a computer which makes it.

    A) easy to work out as I just read off the distance traveled.

    B) means I can't take it too seriously as it's a hack and much above 10 miles is hard work.

    C) also means I'm in the 90's....

    A) Easy to hide my habit from my friends when I'm out on my other bikes.

    B) I'm not addicted, I can stop anytime I want to.

    C) I'm just an occasional user....

    Fixed that for you

Crack the 1,000 for the year on the way home tonight. Not too bad considering I was out for virtually all of January. Time to start upping the miles on the way home.....

I'm planning to do at least a 200 mile month this month. That's about 40miles more than I've done in one month before now.

I know it's pitiful compared to what the rest of you do but I wanted to declare it so everyone knows and can tell me to GtFOOtB if I look like not making it.
