Not necessarily - I cough blood from time to time. Doctor has never seemed particularly concerned - just one of the symptoms of having bad sinus problems.

With all the sh!t I have been through this year with breathign problems it's a wonder I haven't coughed up a lung let alone a bit of blood, I might go out for a bit of serious hill climbing tonight to rack up a bit of mileage, damn the stats page...

I managed 30 miles on a training ride this morning. This week should see me careering down the table.

  • Hurrah, have joined the 1000 mile club, plus it's a good few weeks earlier than last years comparable mileage. Currently 59th which I imagine will be the number of places I drop as I will be away until early May. Only 5k to my 2010 target.

Variation of carbon trading I expect, where non-existent miles are traded for vast sums of cash in the vague expectation of them being completed at some unspecified future date. I sense a business opportunity here...

Anyway. Jeez it was cold this morning. Brrrr..

I have really terrible news.... At the end of April I have a work enforced 5 days in London how am I meant to keep my mileage up?!?

Ps not all bad as 6 out if the 12 attendees are keen cyclists, I suspect it will have to be laps of some park or another :(

Unfortunately, it's a bad month for me.
    Stag in France next weekend.
Easter where I could only cycle less than 40 miles.
May's not much better with 2 weddings abroad and some familly visiting.

Anyway, on the plus side: 30 commuting miles
At least 50 on Sunday... GF's away, but I don't want to risk the burnout, I'm raising the mileage slowly (and want to do some hills, considering how crap I am at them)

    - Becoming a recluse - check, I don't see my friends during the week because I cycle to work, I don't see them at the weekend because I cycle for pleasure.

    - Cycle to France - in due time, it's planned for September :)

Bloody chain snapped a mile from home this afternoon.

I am getting a tourer on CTW (Dawes Horizon) and had been hoping that my current bike would hold out a couple more weeks. I had been planning to change my chain too.

Winter has been hard on it.

Hmmm. Reduced commute today, only 6½ miles. That's not enough to close the gap to 45th, the similar reduced commute back this evening might have to be extended. Oxford's a handy distance away I see.

Finally done 1000 miles for the year, and (no doubt briefly) into the top 60 for the first time, result.

Just need to work on my tan a bit now, I had my Hi-viz legs out last night, I looked like a fat corpse on a bike, ver Gunter Von Haagens.
