Given the markings on their backs I can safely say that there is no way they would have gone above 30mph and were sitting at 28mph which was just that little bit too fast for me :(

The driver cuts across two lanes and stops at the lights in the bus lane then tells me I should be in the cycle lane, not the middle of the road and then plays dumb when I try to explain things to her.

Ever scraped the exhaust on a speedbump?

    Same incident from different angles.

A question for you. A set of TLs triggered by the weight of a bus going either way but only green for the side triggered by the bus. Am I right going through the red light?

    Oh. My. God.

Dickhead for actually trying to squeeze through there at that speed when it was clear that the bus was moving off... but how close to the turning car was the bus???

Interesting that the cyclist filming never stops.... think the driver of the car turning would be interested in knowing that footage existed in the event of an insurance claim.

    Madness!

Just made a short film of our commute last week. Helmet cam mixed in there in small chunks. Check it out:

What do you think? should we make more films? or spend more time in the office we were riding to?

    Cheers.

Lol, not eyebrows, thats 'haircam' (patent pending) ... this new Specialized helmet has such good airflow that it sucks the hair, or what little is left of it, straight up in front of the cam! :D

Got footage this morning (I hope) of an almost insane overtake by a BMW kn0bjockey.

I'm not sure if it was him seeing me (very) late into the manoeuvre or my blatant pointing at my helmet cam that made him dive in between 2 cars he had no gap for, but I was fully prepared to dive into a hedge if he'd carried on.

I'll post it later and let you decide....

    Here it is:

Oh, and I used my camera to complain for the 1st time today. Sent the email about an hour ago and got a reply from the MD within minutes.

I'll not post anything on here, as the response is very positive but the screenshot is REALLY telling and the film... well... damning. (only happened less than 5 mins before this film happened)

Looks like he had a juggernaut sized gap to get into there. Plus he was approaching a zone that required him to slow down which was probably indicated by the word Slow painted on the road and the triangular warning sign.

Someone in a Renault did that to me near Aviemore last year only a lot faster, frightened the heck out of me. Only just missed me. Almost certainly didn't see me before overtaking.

I've looked at the vid a few times because of your post - the car behind brakes hard to create that gap, it wasn't there when he tried to pull in.

and why would someone try to overtake a line of cars like that knowing that a slow section was coming up and he wouldn't make it past in time? Unless he fully intended to go tanking past the whole lot...

May I refer you to the MTB forum's ex-resident BMW driver

How can you tell? You can't see his brake lights nor did his bonnet go down really hard. That gap was at least 4 times the length of the BMW X6, so that would make the gap 64 feet long and like I said in my previous post Juggernaut size. The UK size for a HGV is 54 ft 2.

I think you are making this out to be something it really isn't.
