MicroSDHC are higher capacity microSD cards, usually 4Gb+.

which editing software do you guys use to speed up the playback? I'm going to try a daylight run tomorrow so I can show my full 12 mile commute but would like to run it at 10x speed (or thereabouts)

I use Virtualdub for my editing now that I have it setup for .mov files. It's just a question of editing the clip to show the bits I want then changing the frame rate to a suitable speed if needed.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gip91-7OsRY

This has the framerate increased from 30fps to 90fps making a 34 minute clip into a Youtube compatible 11 minute clip.

No idea quite what this woman was trying to do. Half think that if the cyclist hadn't been in front of her she'd have gone for the whole junction!

  • This is my first video here so be gentle.

People crossing at a junction, woman driver decides it would be a good idea to cut inside them on my side of the road. Just glad I was turning left.

Almost every time I stop at this junction a driver will RLJ from the joining road - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBBhUqZwTIA

It's worst in the evenings when I'm coming the other way - I've had close encounters with taxis and builders that are speeding to catch the light and go through at 35ish with their brakes slammed on to make the corner when it's been on red for a couple of seconds.

MD80 Clones on Ebay for around £10. Search for MD80 and you'll see plenty.

Do you know of any good guides on helmet mounting it?

Not that I've seen. I did buy a spare visor for my helmet and mount it on there but went with the bar mount instead. It might be possible to mount it horizontally, and turn the footage in editing.

No, they do some with a silicon cover but this stops you using the brackets. I used to take mine off when it rained but did have it mounted on the bars with a qr bracket.

I have a MD80 clone but the battery only lasts about half an hour before it dies. Has anyone managed to swap the battery in their's?

    7dayshop also do this...

    prod_110355.jpg

Is it just the MD80 clone in a different body?

Virtually, yes. The software is slightly different howver as it records in 300 second clips then restarts so you'll lose 1-2 seconds of action whilst the camera resets. The case is more waterproofable with only two openings, 1behind the lens and one where the usb cable plugs in/microsd card plugs in. A narrow strip of insulation tape and it's sealed.

  • I don't think they need a Class 6 it just helps with the footage quality, but it won't be too bad with a class 4.

My First Camera arrived 2 days ago. Last night after 2 days of not recording anything of decent quality, it fell off bike, got run over by a lorry and burst in to flames. 2nd Camera this one this time http://www.amazon.co.uk/7dayshop-Vehicl ... 361&sr=1-7 now ordered. If same thing happens again I'll give up.
