No pointing, was knocking on the window. Entirely non confrontational from myself.
Ah ok. I normally just sit behind them and look bored/ p'd off. If they've really been rubbish I tend not to turn the handlebars so the front lights can irritate them.0 -

I've never know that happen to drivers who've upset me. How annoying would it be to have a Fenix on high beam in your rearview mirror?I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -

People can get a bit arsey when you touch their car. If someone is in front its courtesy to turn the bars so they don't get the lights shining in the car. If its been a 'race to the lights' situation I don't bother so hopefully the light annoys them enought to think about not doing it in future.0 -

yayyyy, my mini dv cam has arrived from china, pretty quick service i must say as I only ordered it from fleabay on 25 November. Its way smaller than I thought it would be, and looks pretty smart, I guess I'll see how the actual recording quality goes.
does anyone have any set-up tips or pearls of wisdom they wish to impart when using/affixing/charging this thing? I've heard that overcharging the battery (how long?) is a big no-no.
Hope to post a vid soon!_______________________________________________

Three hours max. Have a look through my posts for pics on bar mounts. I modified a cheap lamp bracket and a couple of cable ties was what I used.
A short ride up the cyclepath to Bitton for a coffee. No tweaking of the speed in the final edit

Yeah pretty good - are a copy of the MUVI camera which I have now "upgraded" too after using one of those for just over a year.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0 -

If you buy that item, you'll be paying £30 over the odds. Search for DVR on ebay and find similar to above but priced around £7, some with the item costing that with free post or others costing £1 and £5+ postage.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -

Has anyone here used a Kodak ZM1? Only records in 640x480 VGA but is small, waterproof and has reasonable quality in low light. Can get them for about £40. Half tempted as I'm unimpressed with the low light quality of the MD80s as well as the fact that they're not waterproof.FCN 2 to 80

I know someone has used one, if they are on here i'm not sure.
The important thing to look at is how to mount it. You need to make sure it is secure to reduce wobble.0 -

Any recommendations on how to mount a MD80 clone to a helmet to reduce wobble?
I had mine attached to the mount supplied and the mount securely cable tied to the helmet with the camera poking between one of the vents.
The footage was OK in daylight, but at night pretty much all that was recorded was a stream of shaky headlights. My helmet is relatively tight on my head (not shaking around).
Any ideas for improvements?FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future

I had the same issue so bar mounted mine but it's still not great - it's an intrinsic problem with the MD80s when they flick into their low light mode so i'm looking at other cheap cams that handle low light better cos i'm too shonky for a Condor :P I should be able to mount the kodak that I mentioned pretty easily using a reflector mount and some of the really strong 3M velcro stuff, just depends how good it is in low light as to whether it's worth £40...FCN 2 to 80 -

redvee, maybe its just me but I don't think any of those are worthy of the time spent video editing and uploading. It could be a London thing!
Anyway, heres my commute..

BTW, I have only watched the 2nd link. Maybe in the first link you were outrageously cut up by something, but I haven't watched it, so I don't know.FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future
