It amazes me that I'll look at my new cateye speedo and see I'm doing 25mph but watch it back on the video and it looks like a walking speed.

That was very, very silly of that driver.

Yeah I dont get it, Thats why I put the speed, On the morning commute you can sort of tell as I keep up with cars at around 20mph are the roads are fuller but it just looks so much slower on the camera.

Just had a thought.... have you played it side by side with the original file. When I first uploaded to youtube with .mov files youtube knocked some 20% off the speed, LOL

Maybe the Vlog site you used has done the same?

    Lifted from elsewhere on BR.

Seems they give driving licenes away in cereal boxes nowadays, met a holder of such a licence this morning and the strange thing is he let one cyclist past him then pulled out in front of myself and an equally fast commuter who aplologised when I gave the driver verbals to which I said you're not at fault, it's the tw@t in that car.

Getting more than a fair share of the fools recently it seems, had another one today.

Another fool in a tin box who needs to reread the highway code. Always thought it was mirror, signal, manoevre. In this case neither needed to be done as it was only a cyclist. He soon knew I was there when I shouted through the passenger window a polite but loud hello.

to record the 8 mile trip from work to the Cricket Club. Camera was in full auto. Model of camera is Panasonic DMC-LZ8. Need to make a visor for the lense and wind proof the microphone. Some noise can be heard from the front light rattling it's brains out. Will be sorted for next time.

I'm the camera bike so you won't see me

recorded trip on Garmin Edge 305 cycle computer. see here[/img]

Here's one from sunny California. It'll take a minute to download but then it runs much smoother.

    Enjoy.

True - but your average surfer looking for cycling vids isnt looking for HD, although youtube will allow you that option if you encode it right.

Apparently cyclists aren't visible to LGV drivers as this clip shows. How many vehicles pass by him before he pulls out?

Video doesnt show it too well, but looking at the kerb as a guide he waited until the last moment it seems. Are you going to make a complaint?

As the place the LGV pulled out from was an hire depot and I didn't get the reg of the wagon I don't see any point. In hindsight I could have slapped the back end of the wagon and waited for the driver to walk round the back of the wagon and shout BOO! as he walks round

Door-to-door (it's only 2 miles). Almost entirely traffic free, due to school holidays. =)

Edit: not quite door to door any more. I re-edited it to include me carrying the bike up stairs and reaching my desk (due to a request by someone on another forum). :D

I love that poem! Poe was a master!

Perhaps it would be wise to remove the doorends  You dont want a thief breaking into your shed after finding out where you live.

Hehe, hmmm... I suppose the likelihood of someone trawling YouTube for potential targets is rather slim, so it'd have to be someone from this forum. The b*stards!

One thing I have noticed is that the claims regarding card capacity are woefully exaggerated. My 2Gb card was full after just 62 minutes recording today. Gonna need to get a 4Gb one for the whole journey or 8 Gb for a round trip.

The dump truck at 0:50 is a bit of an @rse! Is that the A4 near Slough?

Interesting that the capacity is exaggerated. Have you found anything similar with the claimed 2hr battery life?

Battery life seems fine so far.
