Will be taking the Heritage way to High field head farm, then to Aston and upto Twitchill farm.....then Hope brink-Roman road-Hope cross, then down Blackley hey......across A57-Rowlee farm-upto Hagg farm-Nabbs wood and then down suicide brakes to Derwent res......back to Fairholmes and take a left in front of dam towards Ashes farm, upto Derwent edge-Whinstone lee tor, then downhill back to Ladybower inn.

    Hope that makes sense

Know it like the back of my hand :)

Could I make a suggestion for an alternative way to Ashton, By head ing cross the dam turn r then the first path to the L . This brings via a stiff climb then a steady amble around the hillside to a fine downhill run through fields to Ashton.

    Any thoughts?

Aye, you're not the only one who would have liked to have joined them. Bet the weather was spot on today, probably a great days riding.

There were a few of us who used to do an evening trip around the Brantingham area, it can be a nice little route. Ain't been local for a while so I'm not sure if anyone still goes.

    It is.
If you ride further around there's an unsigned permissive BW that joins it but there are signs up for closures due to logging and it's unrideable anyway, massive piles of logs blocking the path  .It is when clear a better way up Whooler Knoll then the road-trudge around to Aston/Edge Farm

What a great ride it was as well, couldnt believe how dry the trails where considering the rain over the weekend......and it was nice and warm,i had sweat coming out of places i didnt know i could.

We took the said footpath up,thanks to richie63 talking me into it in the car park, was a bit stop/start with me and simon tho, with it being the first time we rode it,and bloody steep in places

We were there Saturday but approached from the bottom of the Beast and the closed signs were still there. We rode up the steep doubletrack climb anyway and there was nowt in the way so maybe they've just forgotten to remove them
The Beast was very wet and Sketchy, first time in ages I've dabbed a couple of times

I'd be up for a mooch around there one evening if anyone's going.
Settled for a trundle around rural N Lincs this eve by way of a consolation; peaks would have been awesome (if sweaty) today.

+1 with what giggsmaster said,at the moment with it being summer we go out to moors/peaks or dales to ride, sometimes go up to dalby for a quick blast if we have a spare couple of hours on a night, always welcome to join us on a ride,we never leave anyone behind.

Well, got off work early this aft so went for a quick blast around Dalby. Took in the World Cup Course then Red Route at the back end.

And my conclusion is.... That I've lost my fitness and I can't do descents anymore

So if anyone wants to buy a Mondraker......
