I should be ok for this Sunday lads...
I like a bit of a climb :twisted:If ya aint 1st, yer last!!!0 -
Rather than read back through all your 137 pages.
Do any of you mid week night ride?
If so could a Yorkshire man living over on the wrong side of the Pennines join you when I'm stopping over and working in the area?
If so, which night ride and where abouts to you ride from so I know where to look for a hotel.... Then I might look for customers nearby and do a bit of work0 -

nice one pete,we will be starting at a place called cockayne(nth of helmsley),be getting there for 9-30am for a 10am start.John Moore wrote:Do any of you mid week night ride?
hi and welcome, myself and giggsmaster are riding during the week at mo,we travel from hull and ride up on moors.
only problem is,we dont really know which nights we will be going at moment,as it depends on the weather and if giggsmaster can get away from work early.......
as the nights get longer it will get a bit easier to plan a night ride, sorry if that doesnt help you out much.0 -
what's the plan for meeting up on Sunday, I don't have simon s number any more.0
-
are you going with simon,or with us?
ill pm you simons number,as long as he still has the same one.
either meet in helmsley at the garage about 9-15am,or meet where we park at cockayne about 9-30am.0 -

hi guys, after a bit of modifying, my broken finger is now made from mechano and i can use the bikes again. im up at dalby on the 21st if anyone fancies meeting up. its a week on thursday.
its time the GT saw some action.0 -
good to hear youre back out on youre bike stu
we had anouther great ride on the moors today,a quick 19 and half miles.......started off a little chilly, but soon got warmed up with the climb up through bloworth wood to bloworth crossing...ride took in some hard climbs but some brilliant descent's,and managed to throw in "the incline" climb for good measure.....trails where very dry, with dust being thrown up from the tyres,a few pics from today.......
giggsmaster...

Danielle.... Good to hear your move went ok, hope the degree goes even better. Its alright for some to have the local trials out on their doorstep, its too flat at this side of Hull...
Stu.... Bloody Dalby... Only joking, I hope that finger doesn't give you any bother. I think its half term at College next week so probably busy for me, let you know.
Anyway, good ride out yesterday. The trails seem to be getting faster, aren't they Barkey...?
Here are a few more pics.
Next official ride is on Sunday, but we may be able to squeeze one in during the week, depending on work commitments and weather.
So, Sunday's ride is Pateley Bridge Loop. Usual meet and start time to those who can make it. The start point is a car park on the left just before Ramsgill.0 -
Where is that 2nd picture down please?0
-
The pics myself and Altern posted are from the same DH. Its starts from Stumps Cross which is around from Cockayne Ridge and go onto Slape Wath Moor, it then finishes on the road just above Colt House Farm in Cockayne.0
-
nice little 17 mile local ride last night, unless we have a month's worth of rain,i cant see the trails being anything more then dry and hard like they are at the moment........noticed east riding council have put up some official signs, warning cyclists and horse riders to stay off the footpaths,so we didnt risk doing the steep climb towards spout hill.0

Have you got any idea how to take freehubs off, mines different to shimano so I can't get the axle out?0 -
How many of you am I looking out for
Thanks
Ed0 -
Just the two of us at the mo, in a black car. The reservoir is on the right of the road and the car park is on the left, probably 1/2 mile before Ramsgill. It's sign posted a mile or do leading up to it.
Pm your mobile if your not sure and we can meet in Pateley Bridge car park if that's any easier?0 -
Cheers guys, cracking day out. Look forward to the next one, if ever you fancy coming a bit further west I'll take you out round my hills.

glad you enjoyed the ride ed,was a good day out, some tough climbs, but the downhills made up for it,and the sun was out all day, what more could we ask for.0
