Yep, instead of a nice rock garden with a few drop offs, it now looks like my patio in the back garden.....

Me and our kid went local this afternoon. The route is back to being very dry, so no more mud, well for now anyway

We found a nice little jump on the way back to the car in the woods north of Ferriby.

the local kids were building that when i went the other week. they were about 13 years old and had stupidly specced downhill rigs. could tell they were from the posh area!

i have had a setback and broken my middle finger in 2 places so no riding for a few weeks as i cant even hold the bar, let alone pull the brake. well pissed off.
    :(

Yeah Stu, there were a couple of kids there when we passed with all the gear.

Ain't got my toy yet Barkey, they rang me this morning saying they need last 3 years accounts to get approved. I thought that was all sorted and I would be picking it up this week, so I'm not holding my breath even to get it in next week or so.

I'm thinking of doing the local route again tomorrow afternoon, all depends what time I get off work.

Hey guys, ain't posted on here for a while, good to hear that the ferriby route is nice and dry haha, might make it out one day. Did they move that tree that had fallen in the way just after those jumps above?

I graduated ok and am down souf now, the flt sgt i work with is into his biking so theres some good news, i didn't think there was anywhere in the area to ride. Hopefully i'll meet some people tonight (beer call on first day... :D:D) and see if anyone else rides.

So, who is out for this lovely ride on Sunday then, any takers?

    Cockayne Figure of Eight

Usual start time of 10am at the side of the road above Cockayne... Or meet in Helmsley at 9.30am if easier.

Biggus.... I think the tree you are talking about is still there. On the trail through the trees the young uns have built a few more jumps, one right in the middle of the two berms, crazy....

Don't think you will have much fun down south, there ain't any hills, is there....?

Yeah, it was a good ride out yesterday. Some hard ascents but some very rewarding descents and all that in only 16 miles.

No problems at all on the ride, we didn't even manage to get lost this week, thats a bit of a coincidence that Barkey wasn't out with us...... (mmmmm, what does that tell you...?)

    Hi Guys,

    Hope you're all well?

I know, I know, long time no speak!! Been uber busy getting on finishing my degree (finish in june!) and moving house.

Recently moved to Welton with Matt and we've been out and about on the local route a couple of times. I agree, its been lovely and dry!! Its great to be able to pedal out of our drive straight on to the bridle paths. Not been through the woods at Ferriby since we're at Welton, will have to go check out what the kids have been building. I'm sure Matt will definately be interested and no doubt get involved, he's desperate to find somewhere to build a track on and is looking in to how to go about it.

Hope to be out a bit more on the bike once i've got my uni stuff out the way, along with the shed loads of weddings to attend!

Good to see you guys getting out and about :D
    delightfully dangerous!

No chance of that simon,i actually rode more this aft, then i have on my scott on same ride last year...im looking forward to sunday on my 12 year old dale :D.......it was a good 16 miles this aft,we both rode it all without using small chain ring at front, was made even more funny watching giggsmaster with all his travel,go over his bars twice
