    no my knee's are still sore
    but yes i do like my road bike and the lycra :oops:
    i got mobile broadband from top cashback and they paid up within two months :lol:
    i also paid for my car insurance through them and got £35 back

  • im on kingswood!! rode dalby in the rain yesturday it was awesome!! and muddy, so if ever ure goin out on a ride give me a shout on here as there is only really 2 of us that go up, i also ride road bike aswell but need a riding partner

    hi and welcome dave...
    we dont ride dalby a lot mate,maybe once every 3 months,we would rather get out and about riding the peaks/dales and moors,dalby is ok for a quick blast but nothing really challenging there compared to the natural stuff you can find about 1-2 hours drive away.

    not been in touch for a while, but im still here.
    i can do any riding on thursdays and fridays only now, so weekends are a no go.
    also still without a car so if anyone has space..... :wink:

    also, if anyone fancies a big ride next year, we have another one planned. all will be revealed soon, but its bigger than the 430 miles this year!

    i just had a look at the rydale rumble,i 4ought it was some wrestling event at first,lol,im not sure but i think ive done all 3 of those road climbs on my mtb,i know for deff done the rosedale chimmney climb a few times.

    yeah i think the one with all three big climbs is 109 miles
    i will probably do the 70 miler

    we use to include rosedale chimney in a ride up that way,prob tried it 5-10 times,and i aint managed it all the way up yet,ive been very close tho.
  • i did the trans pennine both ways. hornsea to southport and back to hornsea in 9 days. 9 of us did it and we raised 3k. there is a report on my website., should be some pics and vids up there soon.
    the office had to design us a special certificate as no one else had tried it! .... or were that stupid!
    anyways, next year is 450 miles, but its more road biased, so sl will be ok. :lol:

    In think me and our kid are looking to do ride on Sunday, because we are out on Friday night, also dependent on weather. Maybe doing 'Bainbridge Bash' on the Dales. How did the race go in Hamsterley?

    i aint got any mate :( ride we are doing is not a route we have made up,its off a route cd bro bought ages ago,suppose to be a good ride.

    nice little ride today,of 27 miles on the dales,we did the bainbridge bash out of mbr.
    very hard but enjoyable at the same time,just a pity we couldnt see any of the dales due to the fog we had all day,visibillity was down to 30 metres at times,you could hear people coming up/down trail but couldnt see them for at least a minute :lol:
    id do it again at some point,but not in the next couple of months,i need time to recover :wink:

  • Aye, it was a good ride out, with a few laughs on the way...

    Very hard going on the ascents, a fair few metres was climbed me thinks, the legs are feeling it today. I think Barkey will still be in bed....

    So, what we got planned for the weekend? Another ride around that area, but some miles knocked off...?
