i use Science in Sport PSP22 High Energy Sports Fuel you can get it from asda but cheaper if you get it off wiggle on the net,and also get a couple of gels from asda/bananas as well when i go riding,i normally do 2 litres of drink and that normally does me for about 3 hour rides...hope this helps?????

and if you make it up night before it lasts 24 hours before you have to throw it away.............

dunno, the massive climb after dixons hallow upto towards where the northshore style decking is, that climb always gets me even be made to push up. Although my bike isnt exactly light or made for going uphill much! :P

nice to see youve got some pics up! Nice downhill section, looks pretty fast. I usually just take a drink in my camelbak and a choc bar/packed lunch depending on the ride. Although i usually leave the lunch in the car for later.

Would of been a great day for riding today, unfortunately havnt managed to get out to rosedale. We should try the route i had planned sometime

Just been watchig CountryFile and the dales do look very rideable :D

is that the section where you just cross a small wooden bridge and make your way up the side of the cliff with plent of switch backs? Went today great weather, a little cold though and the chain kept skipping making up hills a real nightmare :(

Cheers lads. Its been pretty good weather on the Moors recently, but......

The ride we did on Friday was bit of an epic. There were three or four ups and downs, but it felt quite easy. Little did we know (or, we should have known...), when we reached about 15 mile and turned back towards the direction of the car, the wind had been behind us all the way. So, the journey back was not a nice trek. Head wind and hailstones is not what you want when you are knackered and in the middle of nowhere....

Yeah love the old singletrack, that last pic of our kid was on some good downhill singletrack. Lasted for quite a while, wrists were aching after coming down that.

Need to get the taste for jumping though, because there were some big dropoffs I should have been taking at speed instead of slowing down...

I sometimes do a road loop around Walkington and come home past there, might have to pop my head in and have a look.
