So, if anyone is interested let us know. Don't know what time yet, but pretty flexible. I'll know for certain tomorrow evening regarding any work on Friday.

I'm doing the Mbr route from a couple of years ago from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay, should be fun.

Whereabouts are you looking at coming into this area, probably be best if we knew the exact route your hoping to take. I'm sure us lot could help you out though, no probs.

    Hey Peeps!

Any plans for an XC jaunt on the either of the weekends of 18th or 24th April? I'm going to be free for both of them as Matt's off to France to go bouldering, i'm not going as i've got too much uni work on to sacrifice a whole week :( but I can give up a day or two to go biking of course :)

First DH race ever this weekend, blooming no. 13 as my race number :? not a good start!!

    Hope you're all dandy!

Went to Dalby on Thursday with my G/f. we did about 17miles of the Red route, with some of the World Cup Course thrown in. Also, we went down the new 'Section 18' which has just been finished. This is after Dixons Hallow, where the old red route descent used to be before you go over the wooden bridge for the massive climb. The new route is alot more techy, and twisty with some black options thrown in for good measure.

Also been out biking whilst my g/f has been doing her traning for the London Marathlon. So done abit of beach riding, road riding etc.

On the 11th I'll be at Dalby again, lol. Demo'ing some Orange bikes. Should be fun!

Your not going to watch the World XC at Dalby on the 24th? I'll be down in London that weekend for the Marathon, but would love to be watching the XC too. Always next year! Could be up for something on the 18th maybe...

Also sent my application away to do some Marshalling over the summer for the British Downhill series, should be pretty exciting to watch! Hopefully be able to Marshall for the last 3 races in the summer! Best way to see the uk's best DH racers.

Hopefully be able to get my XC bike sorted out soon too, although im tempted to get some longer forks for it as it currently has 100mm. Would be nice to get some 120-130-140's for it.

Are we going to try and get something sorted out for the weekend of 18th then kids, hopefully this weather should have died down by then.

And Biggus, I can see the trails being bit boggy, especially with all this rain mate.

now then peeps,i know its late but just took me ages to upload my pics from balblair trail centre i went to in sunny scotland,lol...its about a hours drive north of inverness on the kyle of sutherland, not to be mistaken for the town/village of balbalir which the sat nav started taking me towards....its about 9 miles long but has every thing you can ask for, steep climbs, rock gardens for those with big suss bikes, drop offs, north shore, singletrack, burms, sweeping downhills,i had a huge grin on my face all the way round, after about 4 miles my legs where gone as the slab garden is very hard, had to push my bike up one part as i was just getting wheel spin.......it beats anything dalby has to offer imo....was hoping to do ben aigen but weather got the better of me  hope pics arnt to boring for you all

now then mate, yea they have arrows on them to show you best line, suppose to make it smooth and flowing for ppl who havent rode it before so you dont have to keep stopping to look at what line to take over and down the sections,i found it harder trying to follow the lines,so the majority of it i just took my own.

would of been right up youre street matt, the rock slabs would of been ideal for youre big hitting bike, was great fun riding it tho,i just had a huge grin all the way round it,if i had more time id of gone round again,if i lived up there id ride it once a month as you would get use to the lines to ride and would be great fun.

Sounds it! :D Think we need to move to Scotland?

SO, I've been riding around Rosedale this morning with some friends. We started at the Iion Inn, headed on some shooting tracks and then bridleways down towards Lastingham, then headed east looping back round towards Rosedale Chimmy. Then through Rosedale and up and around on the old railway line back to lion Inn. Some of the pics,

Thanks Giggs, race went really well! Very very muddy to start off with but the track dried out by race runs on sunday and I achieved my aim of not finishing last overall. I came third out of the seniors and 5th overall out of 7. Was racing against someone who no one there was going to beat or even get close to, Rachel Atherton!!!! :D and the junior champ, Charlotte Hughes. Since there were so few of us they put us all in a group together for the podiums so I had no chance! ha ha! Rachel cruised down in 2mins 33secs where the rest of us where from 3mins 13secs to 4mins 19secs, my best time was 3mins 54secs.

Rachel was really cool, took time to chat to us at the top of the track before our race runs. Dan was meant to be racing too but he decided not to and Gee was there having a mess around too! Moelfre is their local haunt mind you so the chances of bumping into them was quite high.

I'll try and get some pics up if I can steal them off the net somewhere.

Hopefully I should be up for a ride on the 18th, need to change the old spicy back to XC mode and get my front hub sorted, it took a bit of a thrashing this weekend!

Altern - Your pics look ace!! Guessing you had a good time?

Matt - Thats cool you're marshelling, its quite fun if the weather is good, get to see some good riding, make sure you ask to get rotated on the course so you get to see lots.

Cheers, as you say, its a great way to see some riding!

Sounds like you should be on a bigger travel bike to get an even faster time for the next race you'll enter?
