did wonder why my rear brake felt alittle lifeless!
I think you can safely say they are worn....
We will be there defo at 0930 on the dot.
Just had another look at the map and found a ascent what I have done before. It is a proper bike on back hike, I'm sure our kid will vouch for that, then again he prob can't remember.
The bridleway disappeared halfway up the hill, its the one from Lane House onto Hawnby Moor. Takes about 10min of hiking....0 -

FIrstly, i'd like to say im sorry about the route today everyone. It was abit of a bloody nightmare! Not to mention im now pretty knacked. However it was a great laugh and had lots of fun, even the bits of solo riding! Need to work on my fitness again and also get that chain sorted out.
Heres the pics from todays madness!

altern_8 posing for the camera, whilst telling me why i shouldn't create routes for any forum rides again! We'd just had to push the bikes up a massive 400meter high hill for about 30mins!

The singletrack from the Boundary stones down into Arnsgill Ridge, it was pretty technical in places.

The view back into Bilsdale valley (where we started the route in a village called Chop Gate), from half way up the ascent onto Bilsdale East Moor.
The view of the last descent, from Urra Moor down a very steep and techy route into Bilsdale Hall.

Aye good ride out today people. Still enjoyed route even though it did turn out to be 7 mile longer than it should have been....
I am feeling abit tired now, don't worry Matt you can have another try at a route in maybe a few years time.... Luckily them marks around my sock line was just dust and not a nice tan line...
Here are a few pics from today, the rest are in the Moors section on Photobucket.

So, here you go guys (and girls...). What do you think of this route for Sunday then?
Nice easy 16miler with some great singletrack like Monday....

I'm not going to be able to make Thurs night ride, abit stiff from my slide down the road on Monday. I couldn't move my head to the left yesterday and still bit dodgy today. I best be OK for Sunday though.0 -
