I ain't had a look at the OS Map yet, but how about trying to incorporate the best of both routes and use more of both Moors into a smaller mileage.

You have more knowledge of the Moors further up north than I do, so up to you mate. Since I chose the last 2 routes I suppose I best give you a free reign on this one....

Just make sure them DH's are class....

    This could be better, www.bikehike.co.uk/mapview.php?id=17809
Starts at Chop Gate again, but heads west, in a loop, crosses the road just before Chop Gate, then heads on the other side, near Cockanye, down into Tripsdale, then the final descent is the same as the one from the last Moors route (down to Bilsdale Hall, off Urra Moor)

    17mile route.

Yeah, I was looking at the Trek Remedy/Ex's ... and my bikes not even 6months old yet haha.

Anyone running Fox RP23? What's the pro-pedal/LO like? Worth the upgrade from float R?

wish i could do dalby mate, but it eats my disc pads up half way round red route,so costs me £20 in new pads everytime i go there, prob start doing a bit of night riding during winter round it tho,but we would be leaving hull about 4pm,but thats later on in year

We will only be doing the blue as he is less skilled than me, he gave up biking a longer time ago than i did and hasnt been back on a bike properly since, so ive suggested we do the blue then to dixons hollow for a blast and so i can have a third attempt at fully clearing the skinnies then possibly another go on the blue route, shame though as i did the black last sunday and i dearly wanna go again now ive got better grippier tyres and a lid lol

Depending what days youre going to do your night rides of dalby i could/will be interested in tagging along if you will have me?

Didnt realise Dalby had a dedicated blue route, till i checked the map after you said! He might find it a bit more exciting to do the red route though? I know a good route around that takes in the good downhill and fast single track sections with a bit of black to boot and cuts out some of the more tiresome climbs.

I will be heading to Dalby tomorrow morning for about 10.

This is the route highlighted below

I was up there today for a walk around with the other half and the two dogs. We walked up to Carr Ridge and had bit of a picnic. It was very cold and windy, so bring your long johns tomorrow.....

It took me around 1hr 45mins, with a bit of Sunday driving. I will be picking our kid up around 7.30am, with a trip to Mcds on the way.
