I managed to fit in a quick 30mins this afternoon while in south cave to have a quick look around the quarry there. It's completely open and unpattroled. didn't really get chance to explore fully but there seems to be alot of potential. The is a small trial next to it in the woods with jumps and berms too. Wish i could have stayed a bit longer :(

Noodle, I'd have text u to come up but by time u got up I'd have had to go!

Is there a ride planned for next weekend?

Regarding rides, everyone usually posts up a time and place to meet. So just keep a look out for the next ones coming up.

I know myself and Altern are thinking of doing the local loop on Wednesday evening, meet time probably around 6-6.30ish at the side of Nut Wood near Raywell.

We had a good ride out today, a hard 22 mile around Bransdale, with a couple of new singletrack trails found between 8 and 12 mile mark. Here is the route

Just got soaked, with no cover around for a couple of miles. Made a retreat to some trees and waited there with a couple of new friends....

+1 with what giggsmaster has said about rides,i normally change the main thread headline for the weekend rides.

Giggs>thought we was looking at fylingdales on wednesday, and looking at doing local the next week?
And we need to do Great Hogarth Moor the opp way round next time

4 rides and 90 miles in week for me is a bit to much, specially doing the moors ride twice in 4 days, that is one hard ride.

Quick update,we're now doing Grizedale(Lakes)NFT+natural on Sunday 17th.We'll be doing Jacobs Ladder in a couple of weeks.I don't know if it's a bit far from E.Yorks?
If you fancy it let me know and I'll sort out meeting/start times 8)

If anyone can make the local route on wednesday night, myself and giggsmaster are looking at doing about 16 miles,as some of you have been asking about the routes we do,starting at top of Corby Park/Nth Ferriby at 6-30pm.If nobody can make it,we will be sticking with our original plan of going up on the moors in the afternoon.

We could be up for the local route tomorrow if i'm not working late and if Matt has finally finished putting back together the SXT for a weekend of DH. Three days of DH on my spicy would kill me!

We're doing Hamsterly, Cannock Chase and Wharncliffe on Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively if anyone fancies a bit of DH??
    delightfully dangerous!

If 6-30pm to meet is a bit of a push for peeps getting there after work,we could make it a 7pm start if thats any easier for the majority,if you could let us know by lunch time 2mor if youre a deff for the ride plz. :)

I must have too much time on my hands,to answer youre question in short Callum88,only folding bikes in a bag or box can be carried onto stagecoach buses, dont you know of anyone who will drop you off/pick you up if you pay them some petrol money, just a thought?

Still not sure how late I have to work today, i'm on a plant trial that hasn't started yet, hoping not to blow up east Hull!!

If we're coming we'll meet you guys in Welton, at the three way junction after the short climb up from the road with the cement works from Scout wood if thats ok? We'll wait there about quarter past 7 if I can escape from work... If we're not there, then we're not coming.

Dont worry mate, the local ride is good to get the fitness up,no big downhills tho, there will be more rides coming up,im not sure what we are doing this weekend yet,as our plans have changed, just keep a eye on here.

DanielleT>If you can make it,id say it would be more like 7-30 to get to youre meet point,as me and giggs are always late

Callum88>Try placing some argos bags on youre wheels, and as you get on the bus,say youve just bought it,and its shopping

I'm afraid I defo won't be there, the plant trial still hasn't started yet so lord knows what time i'm going to be at work till considering the reaction normally takes 5-8 hours! :-( oh well!!

A new house and a "plant trial"/"reaction 5-8 hours",you growing some new drug

Was a good 17 mile ride tonight, dont think we should set off so late in future or do such a long ride at 7pm tho,got a bit hard to see the trail towards the end
