Just got home, safely, via the scenic route (naturally) taking in the delights of Clapham Junction (where I nearly got off and got the train home  )

Had a fantastic evening, and it was lovely to meet you all - some for the first time, others for the first 'non-biking' time.

Greg66 - sorry that my first words to you were 'Diet Coke please', normally I'm not quite so rude! (I did get a round in later btw ;))

LiT - hope you had a great party - brilliant costume!

Don't worry, I'm not going to list everyone...

Looking forward to the 28th :D

Good effort Jen, I'm in awe of your fixed gearedness! I seem to have made it home ok too, via the kebab shop and offy. Was a real pleasure to put more names to faces, and see the already familiar ones again.

Apologies to Corriander who I failed to escort to Charing X despite giving up hanging around outside the Morpeth to say goodnight to the others. Busted a gut to catch up, and was just about there before you beat the lights at Trafalgar Sq. You're certainly not slow (unless I am as well, but that doesn't bear thinking about).

    Roll on the 28th

Hey, LiT's the Fixie Queen ;)

I reckon that anyone who tries commuting fixed for a week will not go back to a freewheel. Seriously.

Since I went fixed I should have done 14 miles on it, as it's only for commuting and I should just do the direct route in winter. Yet I've clocked up over 80 miles, because I just can't resist riding it.

  • Would just like to say had another great evening :-) Got in to find the kids all still up and friends over (with theirs!) all watching Children in Need!

They where quite surprised how quickly I'd got home (about 45 minutes as I got in just before 11 having left at 10:15) and that was after my rather odd decision to do the hilly route...........

Also as promised here's the link for the video I recommended in the pub, not sure how much of it you managed to watch/hear on the iPhone Cori!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rw2nkoGLhrE

    Completely OT but hilarious :-)

Yes, young lady. I made a note of that in my little book.

Good to put a lot more names to faces. One day, perhaps when it's snowing hard, LiTs will let us sit inside. :D

Talking of keeping warm, I know we've mentioned team kit a few times and I was thinking how about arm and leg warmers, black with black writing, shiny lettering that is.

I also seem to remember someone suggested MTFU on the left hand side  and perhaps SCR CC on the right, you could of course use any colour red etc. anyway just an idea.

Edit: A little something for Greg

Great to see everyone again, I made it to clapham and then took a wrong turn on the way home... argh.

And we can sit inside if it's hailing and I've forgotten my jacket.

For your entertainment, a couple of photos from Friday:

Here's LiT and Cori, the latter maintaining her mystery:

    Here's LiT in full costume:

  • Heeheehee! That was such a good costume...

I could have probably done without the champagne for having the best costume once I got to clapham... delayed my arrival home considerably as I had to wait to sober up.

yes nice to meet the new faces and remember what the old faces looked like.

Was annoyed at having to leave early but my house not getting wrecked was more important

There were many more taken of LiTs but they were showed her in many compromising situations for a girl of her standing on BR and she bought the memory cards to keep her reputation as a fine upstanding young lady
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
  • Hahahaha! SO not true.

I don't think anyone else took pics - I shall try to remember to bring a camera next Friday!

    Good fun evening.
  • I thought the compromising ones of LiT were taken by Biondino when he snuck up on her on Kensington High Street last Thursday.

I am now desperately trying to avoid a friday afternoon meeting in Wembley, which would mean arriving at the party sans bike. Can't be having that!

  • Get there at any point that suits, drink beer! If you arrive before me (I'll probably be there at 6pm but will try to get there earlier) and want to go up to the room, then ask for Georgia and tell her you're with Olivia Grace's group who have the room booked. I've warned here that there may be some early arrivals.

Dinner will be served at 8pm...
