<wistful>
I haven't had a kebab since I was at Uni
</wistful>
That's because they're greasy... despite being one of your five a day.0 -
Five kebabs a day? No wonder I'm malnourished!0
-
The Turkish place halfway along Old Compton Street does amazing kebabs. Trust me on this. They even seem relatively non-lethal. Mmmmmmm.0
-
Now you've got me putting a scratch homemade chicken kebab together for supper (instead of the planned pizza or omelette), without any of the right ingredients available. I love 'speriment!0

Ohh that sounds good! Bit far out of the way for tomorrow but there is a site I have to sometimes provide cover for in Wardour Street so I might have to check that place out next time I'm in there!0 -
Not that i'd ever eat one of those evil things but the take away a few doors down from the Blue Anchor pub in Croydon opposite Pizza Express does all manor of fab burgers and kebabs so I'm told, good chilli sauce as well.
BTW don't ever eat at the Dominios pizza in the same street, you've been warned.Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.0 -

You're showing your age - the Blue Anchor stopped being the Blue Anchor over a decade ago...
(and the manager of Domino's was one of my wedding guests and he was murdered a few months later )0 -
I'm still bitter that none of this ever happened when i was a London Commuter so I'm going to make a carky comment
Are you goin to call each other by your real names or forum names - Would i introduce myself as dave or ddraver or call th OP Lost in Thought or what ever her name is?We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Do you stay outside with your bike or go in?
I'd love to drop by for a quick pint 5.30ish after dealing with the MILLBANK WAAAALL OF WIIIIIND!0 -

It's Olivia... and we have the awkward 'hi I'm olivia, lost_in_thought that is...' introductions then try our best to associate people with their actual names rather than their screen names...0 -
Right, I've already clocked fifty stupid hours stupid work since Monday morning and despite managing a couple before last orders tonight I'm determined to be down there for some Friday evening socaibles.
Unlikely to make it before six, but I'll look out for the odd familiar face - or failing that - dirty fingernails.0 -
-
If anyone attempts to address me by my forum name, please by aware that the underscores are silent. Also, the 'u' is hard, as in 'udders'.
Any mention of 'broon' will be met with a stoney wall of silence, unless it's prefaced by 'do you want a pint...' in which case I'll let it slip.0 -
If you want a proper kebab with real proper lamb or chicken then there is an amazing turkish place in Pimlico called Cyprus Mangal: http://www.london-eating.co.uk/7253.htm it's a post pub favourite of mine and seems to be popular with cabbies and rozzers as well. Top blokes in there as well.

Probably 6.30 for me. I have my bike! I do actually ride a bike! I'll turn up riding it! It's my Trek, admittedly, but it's a bike nevertheless.0
