I can't believe he was mere minutes away from fleecing you for fifteen quid. The five pound you've taken off him must feel like meagre consolation after today's result.

different alltogether, I consider myself £20 up :)

we always struggle at WHL, just have to see if we can score against Stoke now :?

I was sidetracked yesterday - could have my arm twisted. :) What time?

Update: May be complications as my mate has missed his flight...

Friday? I am at Imperial College on Friday so, if an exile to the North was acceptable company for the London crowd, I could pop over assuming the Morpeth isn't a million miles away. Would be early evening though.

I think cj was talking today, but Fri prob also good for me. Morpeth is an easy ride over from South Ken.

Might well be able to do both days! But was thinking tonight for starters. I could be there by 6 AGW.

6 sounds good. Mate coming in from Gatwick into Victoria, so the Morpeth is a fairly easy stroll over...

It'd be a walk but I tend to walk all over London anyway when I'm in town. Pimlico isn't it?

I might swing by for one on the way home tonight. Will be passing Morpeth soon after 6 anyway. Will just start talking to the first people I see in lycra/spd's/helmet...

@ Rolf - I think so - very close to Vauxhall Br on Millbank

@ KD: Just to make things difficult, I'll probably be very much undercover today in plain clothes ... ;)

When I arrived there were also two groups, so I went for louder one gathered next to the drop bar bikes. Absolutely flawless.

How wierd - I just realised I think I went there only a few months back. We have offices in Millbank Tower and I went after the meeting. This was well after LiT first posted this thread yet clearly I didn't notice the name of the pub

Anyway, if I turn up about 5ish - 5:30ish tomorrow am I going to be a billy no mates or will someone say hello and comment on how it's grim up North?! :D

    Can't make tomorrow, folks. Dagnabbit!

KD - good to meet you. Roastie - likewise to your mate. Let me know when you want me to bring in the chainset and BB - you can have a look at it first before you part with any cash. If you think the outer ring is a bit battered, no worries.

Looking more like 55:45 now - train has made it to Doncaster

Hello Citycommuter - that's at least 3 of us then. I'll be the gangly skinny git (I mean perfect physical form of the ideal cyclist......) in the dark blue shirt and tan trousers lugging a very heavy black backpack around. I thought about wearing my cool Salvarani cycling cap from Prendas for id purposes but there was no space left in my bag

I might be able to have a swift one... unless when I'm finishing it someone offers me another, I'm so weak willed it's pathetic
