    South side.

The rough housing projects of Clapham.

You need to be tooled up (cork screw - maybe some nibbles) to go down there.
Fixed gear for wet weather / hairy roadie for posing in the sun.

    What would Thora Hurd do?

    hmm yes somewhere around there

Or Southampton even. For those of you unacquainted with the far reaches of the country, it is home to the most rubbish football team in the known universe and one of the most brilliant female cyclists in, well, hmm, one of the suburbs of the city.....

I'll be up for a couple by Friday. Work is very thankfully not mental anymore, so fingers crossed I'll be out the door at 6pm on the dot for some brief Embankment craziness.

Oh, that's probably a teensy bit far for me. And the London beers are at the Morpeth Arms on Millbank?

    Yep Morpeth @ Millbank.

May be I'll pop along! It's in completely the opposite direction for me but the weather's warmer so what the hell. I assume you start after work hours? I'd be there from about 6.30-7.

    Multi purpose

Now how far along Embankment do you think you could ride without spilling the contents all over the lovely Carbon frame or drinking the contents?

NB: I am in no way condoning cycling under the influence of alcohol.

I couldn't possibly comment about that (my lot aren't exactly in rude financial or sporting health either!) :)

Totton aren't that bad. They just need a goalie, a couple of defenders, some midfielders that recognise their own team mates, and someone to bang in a few goals. I think Rupert Lowe would sort them out in no time. :)

It's a yes as far as I'm concerned. The only exception being that if the heavens open around 6pm I might be soft and just do the pub over the road.

A yes from me... I'll be trying to make my escape from Paris as early as possible, but won't be there at my usual 6pm arrival time...
