  • Cooler temp + drizzle = perfect

Oddly, taking the northern line most the way home last night wasn't that bad, I guess it was just as hot as normal.
If I know you, and I like you, you can borrow my bike box for £30 a week. PM for details.

Either your definition of 'drizzle' is wildly different to mine or you must have come in at a different time! Given how wet my shoes and clothes were I'd imagine that it's the latter!

Light patchy rain perhaps? a long way from a soaking, I was either off the pace or far to sensible to push it on greasy roads like the numpties coming past me around Stockwell.

Think you might have been lucky to miss the heavy stuff. You have reminded me that I need to go and replace the newspaper in my shoes though, so thanks for that!

I've always thought that that would be rather handy. Anyway, not as strange as the woman I saw in Richmond Park who appeared to be out running in a bikini for some reason.

It wasn't that warm this morning!

Must be the day for it. I followed a full on racing snake roadie in today. He topped off the lycra with a full face MTB helmet. Very odd, I can only assume he'd misplaced his lightweight racing version!

I saw her too, at about 7.20am as I was heading towards Roehampton Gate. Very weird.

Flew in this morning, just shy of the 20mph average.

Rest of the week is going to be crappy so I thought I'd come first class today.

Bikini jogger in RP this morn.
And a racing snake in Maratona kit weaving around not watching the road as he was trying to identify his rubbing mudguard.

Saw her too up by the ballet school. Very distracting.

Normally explaining my various offs to the wife as she collects me from hospital is fairly straightforward.
    This probably not so much.

Just out of interest, what time are you guys going though the park?

    Asking for a friend.

Given the reduction in pace recorded by Strava, I'd say I saw her at about 7:30ish. Up by the ballet school.

I'm not looking forward to having to wear budgie smugglers at the French campsite we're off to soon, I imagine it takes some confidence to head out for a run in next to nothing!

Sounds like you RP lot need a cold shower too... ;-)

I have a camera on my winter bike.

I'm guessing she wears more suitable attire in December however.

Cross headwind all the way in today. Saw echelons forming along the wider parts of embankment and the CS gave them a very wide berth given the choppertastic content of the groups.

Gonna be brutal tonight.................the weather forecast I saw this morning had heavy rain and 40mph+ headwinds ..........

Oh I'm looking forward to that, but remember peeps - badass weather requires badass riding.

I'm on my bike that doesn't have mudguards as I fettled it last night in prep for the Pru on Sunday and needed to check it was A OK before the weekend and didn't have any other time to do it (not in the office for rest of the week).

  • Dunno about tonight, but my daily 19km commute took 36 mins moving time this morning - av 31kmh!!! Normally takes me 40 mins so pretty pleased with that, you bet.

I'm assuming I'm suddenly a really strong rider and tailwinds had nothing to do with it...

Was hoping to beat the 20mph / 32kph average this morning. 31.9kph. Gutted. May as well just call it a day and go home.

Despite the tailwind I was actually slower than Monday.
