    First ride was excellent.

Strange having a bike that you can throw around easily.

    This is the race: www.action.org.uk/get_involved/race_the_sun

I am certainly a bit quicker down hill on the carbon bike. Not sure if it is the extra travel, better brakes, lighter bike or if it's subconscious.

  • new jersey arrived this morning! ebay bargainess, or so i thought lol! turns out to be a MX jersey rather than an mtb one, (NoFear) so appears to be made for use over armour so is a Little on the large side!!! btu should be ideal, especially for £2.20!!!!!(£2.00 postage ontop) all in for a brand new jersey under a fiver cant be bad!!

going to try and get out tomorow but am still suffering with a bl##dy cold and wisdom tooth pain, so may not be a very long ride!!! - not going to make the bodmin one as will only b able to make the trip up and sadly not the trip up, ride and trip back! gutted, (truro in the car is about as far as i can get before it saps all my energy  )

  • I'll be tagging along for the Bodmin ride tomorrow, never ridden there so looking forward to it!

Shame you can't make it Timmo, I was looking forward to the possibility of seeing your Charge/Wiggle saddle! Saw it yesterday on Wiggle when I was browsing* and looks nice, (un)fortunately it wouldn't 'go' with any of my bikes tho!

*browsing which turned into buying some bargain Marzocchi Dirt Jumpers for my jump bike!
    2008 Trek Fuel EX8
    On One ScandAL
    Spesh Sirrus
    Mongoose Fireball
    Kona Ute
  • I'd really loike to do this ride but just cant get the body ready lol! having to kip during the days to manage and have so little energy due to the bl##dy cold i feel i'd struggle to get out the car when i got there let alone ride lol!

the saddles nice!! doesnt 'need' to go with anything to justify a purchase though! 8) just looks cool, thats enough for me hahahaH! i was going to go for the brown version but saw this wiggle one which was a fiver less and thought why not!! seemed silly not to!!! :D

I wouldn't fancy Bodmin Moor tomorrow.

It was cold enough when I went for a ride today. Windchill on exposed areas up there will make it very very cold.

Nice to see you out this morning.

Hope you had a good ride.

We managed 24 miles, with Kyle, Kev & myself keeping the speed up - well, we were more or less racing half the time.

Hopefully ridden out the lasts of the cold! Feel good for it which always helps!! No idea on how far it was as batteries died in the gps in the woods lol! Teach me for buying ebay rechargeables!!!!

  • hahaha! You leave my Pink condomed Gps alone!

figured when it falls off due to my riding a Birght pink condom would b e a lot easier to spot rather than undergrowth Yellow! loL!
