Personally i would go for the carbon, they do look nice and like you say yours was previously owned, carbon has bee getting better all the time and that frame looks to be a good improvement on yours.
Just go easy on it this time eh.The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

they are also now doing Ragley frames too! they are Very nice! they've a custom build steel one in black, sexy looking bike! and another custom build alloy frame, also very nice But the Winner has to be the Custom build Ti frame! that really is a nice bit of kit! beutiful frame! so light yet storng! BUT! at £1400 for the frame it would need to be loL!Timmo.

Nice choice should be an interesting ride they seem to get very good write up's.
As for the yogi's id love to ride with them again but my weekends keep getting taken up.

I hope one day to get my coyote ht5 built back up such a fast agile little frame it deserves to get another showing.
Tim - bet it was quite a surprise when i posted that thread that actually praised the frame, has the wind changed who knows. The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

You might want to look up Cornwall Freeriders on facebook.
They have a DH race IIRC 1st Sunday of every month.
If you can't find 'em, speak to James in Clive Mitchell's (Truro).Stumpjumper FSR 09/10 Pro Carbon, Genesis Vapour CX20 ('17)Carbon, Rose Xeon CW3000 '14, Raleigh R50

Not bad, baselayer and jersey was enough the buff also came into it's own, nothing to write home about just a run down to devoran and back, been in the gym more than anything thanks to the weather of late. The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
Giant Anthem X0 -
Dazz, yeah was a shock matey! i was expecting them to be slating them for falling apart lol!
but then that said, someo f the builds they are doing are so light that i dont think they would use it for half the stuff we do! (as in most the groups in our fine land!)
the cotic frame si only half a pound heavier than the carbon one i have so should be a nice build, depending on length might drop the bombers on it as they are a little stiffer than the sid's!!!
Glad you got a Buff!! did you get a fancy one?? such a thin thing makes so much difference hey!
you could always build the coyote up witht he spares of your frame when you built that up, it wont be Super light like the giant but would be useable for training???
cant wait to get the frame now, Mum and pop[s have both agreed to pass on some coins for christmas towards it as has the good lady and now i wont need to buy any bling for the bike i can put some more towards it, hoping to get half way on the cost for christmas so can have it ready for the new years!
opnly things i am going to need for it is a headset and seat post (my 26.8 is a lil Bent and its a 27.2 frame) tempted to go for a hope headset?? although may just go for the normal decent fsa ones!!!
really chuffed though!Timmo.

Well it's more as a thrash about fun build, saves wearing the expensive bits, anyway can't afford any new bike bits for now so that's on the back burner.
The buff was quite a surprise, did a good job of keeping the sweat away and keeping me warmThe trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Kyle did well at Soggy Bottom - 7th in the Veterans!
Crazy cycle this morning - debris everywhere including through my rear tyre - had to run 2 miles home - doh!0 -
I'm on the front page of Joolze website (the official photographer) of Soggy

I've gone XC now. I'll be buying bib shorts soon.
The real reason is that my Singletrack shorts fell to pieces last week. Though for races I may well stick to just lycra.0 -
Great result Kyle!
do yo uknow how any of the others did??
Matt, coming back yesterday was an Awful lot of water lying in the fields at the sides of the roads up near mums, as we got further down there were more and more branches about!! hardly suprising considering the winds!!!
off down to put my deposit on the bike dreckly, as the good lady wants to see it too!!! 8)Timmo.

Timmo - I'm being slow - which one are you going for?
I have a Hope headset (and skewers, and seatpost binder, and light...!) and think their stuff is superb. Bit pricey but you'll never need to replace it.
This was a hell of a puncture - the ride has about 3-4 miles of off road and it's suddenly got very technical - it was a job to stay on the bike this morning! Country lanes are currently rivers and a lot of debris around. Quite fun really.
Did Mark enter the race too? Will try and do it next time - except I'm cursed and something always crops up it seems.0 -
the soul Matt, darryl rang on thursday evening to say he'll put it back for me!
really looking forward to it now!
yeah the hopes look great but then so do the £25 fsa's! will ask hat the guys can get in at a resonable price!
from marks facebook seems he did the race too but i dont knwo what catagory?Timmo.

I just lost a post - ARGGGH!!!!
Excellent choice with belting reviews.
My FSA lasted two years then got sticky - not bad I reckon,
The Hope should last forever.0 -
the hopes appealing but the price isnt so lol! i suspect i'll go down the fsa route as theyve done me proud in the past, i'[ll keep my eye's open and see whats what, if i see any bargains then i can always grab one!
the frames a cracker and is effectively a frame for life and if it breaks get it rewelded! sounds ideal for me lol!Timmo.

-
ofcourse you can Matt! infact i htink i did credit you a few posts back too fir such pointering!
in honesty, had you Not suggested then then i highly doubt i would have even looked at them in the depth i did! 8) so a Big thank you! and when its all built up you can have go too!!
news fromt he docs.! and its good! No broken ribs! wahooooo! but! seems the muscle surounding them is Badly bruised hence the pain! Got ace pain killers but they do kinda numb down all the other usual daily pain! getting out of bed in the morning is Interesting! haha! its a bit of a case you know its going to hurt so best do it as quick as you can!!!
anyways, took Bob out ofr a blast today, down the lane and track beside what used to eb a small river at the bottom of the vallety which has turned into a nice little torrent haha! and out along the edge to the top of the hill, out to wheel peevor and down the bridleway tyo mawla which was Properly muddy! onto the barn and then back the usual way to portreath and up through illogan woods, (came up the ST in the tree line for a change, is stil as pants going up as down lol!) But bob coped admirably with all the mud and cr4p, so is ready for an idless spectacular this weekend!Timmo.
