I live St Columb Road.
I'll be driving to Redruth for 8am tomorrow for a ride.
If you want to tag along, I can pick you up. It'll be 7.30am (but that's an hour longer than you would normally have got)
PM your mobile and where to get you & post on here if you want to come along.

Not seen Dazzza's lights, but I know he's been raving about it.
The one I mentioned, just happens to be good value. I spotted it when it first came out earlier this year. Thinking it's time to get something a little better than what I have, as I could be doing a lot of night riding this winter.Stumpjumper FSR 09/10 Pro Carbon, Genesis Vapour CX20 ('17)Carbon, Rose Xeon CW3000 '14, Raleigh R50

gotta say they look very impressive!! but with my track record in the dry i think i'll avoid night riding for a bit hahahha!
prolly safer for all involved!
been looking at frames again!! looking for something light (sub 4lbs) and under £200 which is what the unbranded carbon ht frames are of which are a newer version of mine, give me something to look at saving for!!
will see how tomorow's ride on Bob goes but tehidy on thursday i missed my old frame dearly! got very used to throwing it around the st sections i liked! we'll see!!! was a very nice lapierre ht frame on cheap in taiwan but went very quickly!! will have a natter with the boys down the barn see what they say about it and see if its worth keeping an eye out for again!!
the joys of a fickle mind and very limited budget hahahha!Timmo.

yup, you saw us in illogan woods en-route to tehidy!! stuntman popped another spoke!
great ride this morning, andy on a mission for cold leg death by the 300ft climb up the left side of Porthtowan beach to the top! that hurt! but a good allround ride, blast along the top to the airfield and down to the trail for a cruise to Portreath for coffee! then the descision from andy and the others was to go for tehidy! loop of the three good tracks and then back down to portreath for the tramway back and then for the rest (i went back into portreath to meet the Support crew!) and then the climb up the hill to porthtowan!
No idea on miles as my 'decent' rechargeables held about 30 mins charge and the cheapo batts kept switching on over the slightest bump! but a good one!!
Bob did me proud too! forgot after a while i was riding it! 8)
could get used to this bouncy stuff again!!!!Timmo.

That cold i take it?
I have to nip out soon and im thinking of throwing on my winter gear, i really must sort out a long sleeve base layer too, probably long neck and merino for those cold winter months. The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

wasnt cold out Dazz, bit nippy in the breeze but otherwise fine!!Timmo.

Oh good, i've thrown on a 2.20 telonix and im dying to give it a whirl, excavator is the best rear bar none but up front it washes out when pushed. The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

you and your tyres! i just stick with the cinders! good allrounder!!! decent price too!Timmo.

Oh i love the excavators they're my all round hack tyre, from what i've read a few run the telonix up front for more grip anyway so i kind of expected it, this will probably be the las pair i buy for a while anyway.
I just wanted something that gripped and actually lasted a while!!!
Fires/cinders drag quite a bit ime.
I tried doing idless the other day but i got all scared and pussied out, i stayed hoping someone would show up but nope and all the noise freaked me out.
I got one for £19 btw.The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

we going to do some night rides soon?
There is a guy looking at a regular thurs night idless way - look on trail riders facebook page.Stumpjumper FSR 09/10 Pro Carbon, Genesis Vapour CX20 ('17)Carbon, Rose Xeon CW3000 '14, Raleigh R50

Also did 22 miles today! On the road bike and really enjoyed it.
Dazza - my word that light looks apocalyptic!!
Still utterly swear by the Spesh Sauserwinds S Works. Yes they are 1.8" (but a wide 1.8") but they are the best tyres I've used by MILES for both fast rolling and mud handling. Keep them highish pressure and they also seem nearly puncture proof. Brilliant tyres AND cheap too!0 -
that light Is Damn bright! (dazz popped round this evening) Very impressive for a small compact unit! amazing amount of light! and thats in low mode lol!
very impressvie bit of kit!Timmo.

Of course, won't be with the trail riders, can't stick marks constant pisstaking.
Yeah that light is a bit bonkers, never did things by half.
Tim im afraid you'll be seeing me again, i've gone and left my chain lube up there. :oops:The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Im in no hurry, going to order an 8oz bottle as it's cheap anyway so i might just nip up, saves you the hassle anyway.
Right time to go buff hunting i reckon. The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

That guy ain't one ofthe regulars in Trail Riders - I've not met him.
Anyway, let me know when you wanna go out.
One a slightly different subject:
I was following a set of L&M Solo Logic's - same light as mine - on Ebay. It went for £98.
I was only gonna ask £35 for mine!Stumpjumper FSR 09/10 Pro Carbon, Genesis Vapour CX20 ('17)Carbon, Rose Xeon CW3000 '14, Raleigh R50

He's the admin, if you can call him that spoke down to me like a child on a number of occasions, mark wright, typical emmet though always thinking dumb cornish, next time i'll keep my trap shut.
Anyway less said best said id sooner forget about it and move on.
Work is chaos around this time so it's best if you ask on here for anyone about, like you usually do if i can make it i'll give you a shout, i don't want to say i'll turn up only to bolt last minute.
Btw you won't need any lights if i turn up.
With any luck come the new year i can attend yogi rides, can't atm as they all seem to fall on saturdays, well the good ones do but hopefully that can change. The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
Giant Anthem X0 -
I meant the guy doing the night rides ain't one of the regulars - I know Mark very well/
Lights wise, I'll probably get those Magicshine's - only little concerned about quality . . . .Stumpjumper FSR 09/10 Pro Carbon, Genesis Vapour CX20 ('17)Carbon, Rose Xeon CW3000 '14, Raleigh R50

Right now i can respond better.
Mark - the magicshine has had most of it's issues sorted, the only real bugbear is the battery most find a way of protecting it with a bar or whatever they have, it's a nice light but personally i would look at this light as a better option.
You choice though bud.

Did the surfing equivalent of going full tilt on an XC bike at Morzine - i.e. surfed double overhead on a 6ft quad! Shoulders now complaining.
I reckon those Magicshines will run out very soon - they are all over the 'net.
Petzl headtorch (Myo XP) on it's way tomorrow for night running. Tried with my Tesco one (about £10) and almost ran into a tree then nearly fell off a small cliff! Not quite bright enough!0 -
Yeah tell me about it, the one i suggested it better for not much more, down to mark whether he wants it or not.
I looked at that head torch and thought wtf £55 for a head torch, but it looks to throw out much more light than any i've seen should be decent.
Runs on 3 aa's though so it will be weighty unless you can move the pack elsewhere? The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
Giant Anthem X0 -
Beam looks pretty narrow on that one Dazzza.
And it's twice the price of the magi.
Anyway, put my order in last night, so time to suck it & see.
L&M light is sold. Was tempted to try eBay after watching one go for nearly £100. Didn't pay that in the first place.
Dazzza
It's great having lots of light on the bars, but sometimes you need to look where you need to go.Stumpjumper FSR 09/10 Pro Carbon, Genesis Vapour CX20 ('17)Carbon, Rose Xeon CW3000 '14, Raleigh R50
http://www.visiontrack.com0 -
Won't be narrow it's a p7 they're all floody the led won't allow it to be a spot.
Twice the price, not quite the magicshine is 80 dollars the one i posted is 120 so lets say £50 vs £75.
On that light i suggested, you get a better battery, a better fit a better led, it's down to you but it's what id choose, guy in the what light thread is the first on here to have one and he loves it.
Remember who wrote the led guide on this site.
But the choice is yours.
Oh i see you've ordered it, remember to keep an eye on the battery getting wet, it's meant to get rusty if it does most folk cover it with a bag of sorts.
As for the helmet light always being needed, not really seen mine yet have you.The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Godammit - I wasn't even looking for a new light!!0
