From what I understand its not distance, but time. You basically race for a fixed time and then complete the lap you are on. The time for the SW ones is 1 hour. Apparently its pretty full on.

I've heard they are full on but done over an hours constant exercise (that tri) and managed to not die. Hmmm - interesting...

I'm guessing that hmmm is the sound of Sutherland cogs whirring and thinking "Competition is good."

It's an all too frequent sound...

If I was four inches taller, I wouldn't have this pesky short man syndrome and wouldn't bother constantly killing myself.

    Dammit. :lol::lol:

Nice one Mark! That's brilliant. How was it?

I ran three miles in barefeet (stag do error) on Saturday and am now covered in blisters and cuts - DOH! Tried surfing yesterday - near agony!

New car on it's way on Friday - woo hoo!

The sort of thing that you do once.

I would question the sanity of anyone that does it twice or more . . . . .

    Then again, in 6 months when I've forgotten about it . . . . . .

Timmo - yep. It's lighter, faster, better on fuel and emissions and has a bigger boot than the Audi!

335d Touring (286bhp, 428lbs/ft) SE - being delivered on Friday. Stealth and speed all in one car  :lol:

Mark - so pretty full on then?!

335d nice, now get the bugger remapped. ;)

Good job you didn't get the audi, they have shocking electrics of late.

Still out on the bike, went out saturday and today, feeling better though slower today probably still recovering from saturday a bit, legs were a bit tired still good though, had to play dodge the emmet a few times.

  • remapping is the Chav favorite mod now!

why not just buy the car witht he power you like!

not a fan of beemers, or most things german for that but not bad mr Matt!

Make sure yo give it a Proper thorough going over when they drop it off and make sure that anything you asked for to be done has been!

It's not all about performance, any car manufacturer will throw on a generic map for the model rather than mapping it specific for that engine.

400hp isn't unheard of and you still get decent mpg so in the long term it'll pay for itself.

Why on earth is remapping a chav mod anyway, chavs can't even afford a remap.

Might get used to not crashing it first then possibly visit DMS... :D

Timmo - it's BMW Used Approved, has got warranty left (plus another year on top), etc, etc and HPI check is clear and getting it Supagarded so hopefully okay.

Not over keen on the BMW image but can't think of anyone else that makes diesels with so much poke but still good on fuel.
  • oh matt, please tell me you havent paid for it to be supaguarded?? you do know the supguard paint kit to the dealers costs sub £20 and much the same for the interior protection !! and also that one polish with Autoglym Super resin polish or equivalent will effectively remove it!!!
you'd have been much better off with a decent polish sealant and wax combo once every few months (would cost you less that £60 for the three and will easily out last the supaguard!),

Dazz, all the corsa boys, saxo boys etc all go on about it, all you ever hear from anyone thats bought a deisel of late is Get it remapped, all the DW massive do too!
and generic maps! hmmn, not so sure, why would the company spend millions designing a car for the best possible longevity and performance reliability and then bung on a generic map!??! yes remapping can give you a worthy boost in both poerformance and fuel economy but at the same time lowering engine life!

same can be said for induction kits over std airbox's! proven on Most the classic hot hatch's that an induction kit looses you power over the std air box set up, the best increases are to be found with a replacemtne element filter, but they are simply not as cool!

anyways, CAr chat ont he bike forum again!!! nearly as bad as roadie chat on the mtb side!
