I'm afraid CM only had SRAM ones.
Road bike back from it's free first service - turns out the wheels had a problem so new wheels, hubs and skewers - and a MAJOR upgrade for all (for free) - woo hoo!!0 -
nice its all gratis but not so good for the original parts hey! doesnt fill you with confidence!

Don't go to Idless tomorrow. Damn motor bike competition have restricted the access. They're gonna tear up some of the good stuff too. Did their route last night. Motors are cheating.0

Todays comedy error?
Took the boat on my own to Loe Beach and had a coffee. TIde was heading out but left plenty of anchor rope. Got back to it - totally dry and couldn't budge it an inch. Had to get picked up by Mrs Matt in the car, wait three hours, then cycle back to get it - DOH!!!
The cycle was rather fun though - that hill (bridleway) from Cowlands to the KHF road is DAMN steep!0 -
Nice one matt!
bike all rebonded and rear mech cage swapped over due to Wobbly retaining pin and then sorted, hoping to make Yestins ride in St.Columb tomorow but and feeling exhausted at the mo so will see!!Timmo.

Todays upgrades for me - new jockey wheels fitted and I now have all titanium bottle cage bolts...
Also tried a Supersonic inner tube (100 grams - the lightest you can get) - pumped it up to 50PSI, it burst. £9.99 not well spent. Email heading it's way to Continental...0 -
Oooooops! mainly at £10 nigh on for a tube! :shock:Timmo.

That's an expensive lesson learnt.
Well mark is up to his usual high standard of not letting anyone know if a ride is on tomorrow, i hope so, i repeated the same route we did last week only pushed myself harder and faster and i damn well loved it.The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Mark is away this weekend on holiday with his family
If not sure if the ride is going from the Factory Shop, it is best to start at the cafe.
Just checked the facebook page - there were a couple meeting at Treleigh Ind Est to go on to BissoeStumpjumper FSR 09/10 Pro Carbon, Genesis Vapour CX20 ('17)Carbon, Rose Xeon CW3000 '14, Raleigh R50

Nice 20 mile road ride today - averaged 16mph which seemed okay.
New wheels (Shimano RS10s) seem that bit lighter and stiffer.0 -

Yeah i know, trouble is it was only for a couple hours at a slow pace not my thing really, didn't know mark was off he kept that one quiet.
Well i had an interesting ride, that trail in unity woods on the far left, someone has seen fit to leave huge stones in the middle of the trail and a dead tree, not a small one either it was wedged in there using a wooden ramp to push it up and several other trees to wedge it in place.
Clearly a local doesn't like riders in that area so im going back tomorrow armed with a very large tree saw.The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

well, i woke up at 12 and struggled with the energy enough that making a cuppa was a challenge so decided to give the bike a miss! will try and get out during the week!
Dazz, pretty sure ont he FB group mark said he would be away?
Matt, you've not started upgrading the road bike already!!!Timmo.

Just had a good nose, nope not a sausage.
Weather might be crappy tomorrow but tuesday's meant to be alright, cars in garage for a remap which is a pain as that money could easily buy me a new set of lumicycles, never mind.
Anyway will try to be about then, wednesday might be a bit crappy as well, least that's what metcheck says. The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Timmo - took it in for it's free 6 week service, they found a problem with the wheelset so replaced them with much better ones! They look pretty trick but have very few spokes - yikes!

thats pretty cool then!!!! gratis upgrades are always goiod!!!!!
looks like there will be no riding for me this week as littlun was sick last night which means no nursery for her! never mind hey! we might attempt to walk up the woods! 8)Timmo.

Interesting wheels.
Especially it having lovely red nipples.
I really should stop looking at road bikes, i haven't the room but i would love one.The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
Giant Anthem X0 -
The red nipples are cool but the rims are so deep, it's really hard to pop the track pump onto the valves (not much valve showing)!!
The front wheel has about four spokes!0 -
there are Some Very tasty rims for roady bikes!
there are some valve extensions you can get for them i have seen?? oly take about three pumps to get them Skinny beeners up to pressure anyways!
shouldt your rear skewer be inline wiht the frame for less wind resistance! :PTimmo.

Had the car remapped today, lambda sensor was gone which i suspected, hp is lower than i thought 307.7hp but the torque is 323lb/ft go figure lol.
At least she'll pass the mot with the minimum of fuss after which i can focus on getting my lumicycle lights. 8)
Least it'll pay for itself, car seems to be drinking less now, give it a year it will have paid for the map, so a bonus in a way.
£448 in the end, that was for the sensor at £53 and cable/software for the ecu at £97.The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

just dont be tempted to play with the mapping your self Dazz! lol! and dont let sandy near it haha! iirc he was the one that set your Mi to run lean for the idle but left it that way hence after 6 months your rings were fried!
had a nice walk down to portreath today through the woods, tempted to put littlun in the back carrier and go for a ride tomorow! see how we get on!! 8) :?Timmo.

Dazza - sounds evil. What did it start life out as? Normal turbo, STI, or something else?
Nice little surf at Gwithian with Mrs Matt today then a rather sweaty run.0 -
i had the privaledge of a run in it a while back after a few choice mods had been done and then it was just Bl##dy silly hahaha! awsome grunt and LOVE the tuned scoob sound!!!
iirc it was a std one when imported but with a rather special suspension set up!
judging by the suspension i wouldnt have put it past the previous owner to have tinkered with it pre exporting it! 8)
what was gwithian like matt?? portreath was Busy Busy Busy!! pants all surf for locals mind! holiday makers seemed to be Wowed by it mind!Timmo.

Just a normal wrx turbo, bizzarre how the torque figure is so high, that's 2.5 scooby high yet the hp is lower than i expected, meh nothing wrong with a bit of extra torque anyway, explains why it hits top speed so quickly.
Tim sandy didn't bugger the map up infact he did a god job, mark shillaber saw the work he'd done and mentioned he had a hard time improving on it besides the rings were fine when i took it apart, i think it was the head gasket gone a second time, trouble is because i went for an 85mm overbore no company sold an uprated gasket just a standard one which of course is no good in an engine like that in the end i just had enough and got rid, good in a way as the scooby as been nothing but reliable, id still rather have the pug for fun mind.
Oh tim, she's a bit quicker since the last time you sat in her.
And smoother though the ac on really does suck up power, wasn't that noticeable before the remap hmm lol.
Handles better, it's now running 1.5 degrees of neg camber front and rear, has an anti lift kit and uprated front droplinks.
Martyn said i've pretty much hit near the limit for a standard turbo, he's never seen a td05 crack 320-330hp mine made 307 but i still have a couple things i can do so i guess that's what gave other folk that tiny bit extra.
I still can't get my head around that torque figure, anyway here's a graph, see how long it stays at max hp for lol
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

ooooooops! thats not so good!
what type mark?? roadie or mtb??
Nice graph! good spell of peak power!Timmo.

Mark - bugger, that's bad! Road or MTB?
Dazza - looking good! Maybe I'll have to map mine... Torque is good - very good. Mine just keeps on pulling like a train way beyond when I bottle it. 50-70 has been timed the same as an RS6
Timmo - sea wasn't too bad but the beach was utterly bonkers - had to park miles away as all the main car parks were full! Nice surfing in the sun though. It was small but fun enough until a flash rip flattened it to a choppy mess and a few had to be pulled in - doh!0
