I'm leaving from work, so I can meet you at Smokey's or Bike Chain if you want.

It's about 6pm at the cafe, so probably 5.15 - 5.30pm if meet up.

It is small - 52cm - the next size up felt too much of a stretch - probably fine when you're a fully fledged roadie but not too hot when you're used to MTBs. Got the same size as the geezer from the LBS has - he's about the same height (i.e. not very tall). Still feels like you're leaning on your head to me though!

Kyle - ermmm - I don't do jumps or drops on my MTB either - that being cos I'm a shandy drinking MTBing one trick MTB pony (that can climb fast, and possibly go fast on the flat) that is cr4p at DHing!

Just stuck a computer on it to see how fast it goes. It felt very quick last night.

I shall try and make friday, can't promise it though.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Well if i do turn up pleas be gentle, you'll end up kicking my arse.

Rode the anthem properly today, i got fedup waiting for the kmc chain, this bike flatters me far too much, it's twitchy if not scary to the inexperienced rider but the faster you ride it the faster it wants you to go, ended up exhausting myself today but i really enjoyed it, It's similar to the tomac but lighter, faster and more stable at speed and little or no bob i love it. :D

The Garmin probably showed over 50 while I was riding (I was looking where I was going), but it never seems to record the very top speed. It's as if the computer checks & re-calibrates it with the satellites.

It was on the hill going down towards Staples - so right on your doorstep Matt. You do need to trust your brakes as I approached the roundabout at over 40.

    Ain't speed great!

btw Matt, there's a 10 mile Time Trial tonight down the Laddock road - if you fancy seeing how fast you are. Think it's £2 entry, pay on registration.

Mark, goignt o give friday a miss am affraid matey, thought about it and decided that 27-30 ish miles is Too much for me at the mo! managed 17 yesterday with a bottle of energy drink but think ading another 10 to it will hurt me more than the enjoyment level!! thanks for the offer of the ride down though,
