  • I have recently moved down to Falmouth from Derbyshire and am getting withdrawal symptons from regular mtb rides, am always up for riding at the weekends so would be cool to find some people to ride with. Also is anyone doing the 2nd round of the soggy bott race over at Newham park?

3/4 length Endura Singletrack shorts (already got the shorter ones but was getting chilly knees!) and a Lezyne Alloy drive pump for me!

Just did an Idless ride with Mrs Matt, my sister and her husband and...

...it's actually starting to dry out!!!!

    Lots of fun!

Hope you all had a great Christmas all!
  • Got some new SPD shoes (not red) and knee warmers from Santa :D

  • Went to Idless for a cheeky night ride and I didn't come back covered in mud, even though I did the top path. Didn't feel right somehow.

    Welcome to Cornwall.

Amongst a few others, I will be doing the next couple of rounds of Soggy.

As well as the CornwallMTB club, you can always post on here if you are looking to go for a ride.

If you are into night riding, both Helen (helen coakley) and myself try to get to Idless woods (Truro) during the week.

If you are into road riding - there is a club that rides from Bissoe cycle hire every Sunday morning. Bissoe is also another great place for mtb'ing.

Not looking good for a night ride this week.

I'm off to Plymouth tomorrow (shopping).
Doing a road ride Wednesday morning with Steve (hagace) and a couple of others.
I am riding to Certini on Friday (as long as I get a riding partner) - yes I did say riding!
And finally I will be going to Bissoe on Sunday for Ricci's ride.

Well Kyle and I had a rather eventful night ride last night!

Lots of fun (Kyle's new Ayups are excellent but was still rather pleased with my Hope 1/Tesco Cree helmet mount combo) and fairly energetic until a branch caught in Kyles wheel, shearing off his rear (SRAM X0) mech!

Much faffing (by both of us) and umming and arrhing and Kyle had himself a singlespeeder!

Hope the mech is okay Kyle!

I will be adding a few more tools to my riding kit methinks - we only just had the right kit between us!

And the most important part of the kit -

    Duck tape

If anyone is crazy enough (& ideally, has a road bike), on Friday there are a few of us meeting at Bodmin rugby club to cycle to Certini at 9.30am.

I'm leaving from Fraddon at about 8.30am.

It will be a gentle pace.

If you are looking for a new XO mech, have a look at this item on ebay - 320327786152

I also know Certini did a great deal on an X9 for Steve (hagace), after his XO went pop.
