Why don't you both join me Friday night and find out?????

btw I was thinking of strapping 2 of the biggest Maglites I could find to the sides of my helmet. Who needs a Fenix!

Brilliant ride today - but not with the club!

My mum came over and looked after the boy meaning Mrs Matt and I got to blat around Idless.
2 months after giving birth and she's doing 10 miles pretty easily AND going for every jump on that downhill section! Nutter!
  • sounds good matt!
was hoping to get out today for as blast but after a verytiring few days at mothers i'm heading back to bed after i've dropped the littlun off at nursery!

Nothing 'cool', just something home made for the helmet.

    Adrian - how's the RAF?

Must be great top work for a company that gives you at least 2.5 weeks off over Xmas.

Give me a call when you are back. I will be happy to go out whenever I can.

Anyone know if Dazzza has sorted himself a new frame yet?

All those XTR components must be getting rusty by now.

Mark - no new frame yet.
He's thinking of getting a Titus I think.

Had a rather nasty incident recently of being road raged by a chav in a Saxo near Truro - turns out Dazza works with him...
  • Mark, ive notr heard anything about a new frame from dazz yet, rest assured though, his shed will be a lot lighter with all those shiny bike bits in it!

i know he was looking at a few options but not heard anything definate!

Hey Adrian! is it noice to be home matey?? there are a couple of club rides before christmas but a week sundays is the last until next year at the mo!

Timmo - whatever the frame he ends up with, it will still not be right 99% of the time...  :lol:
  • if you strive for perfection the majority of the time you will find fault!
    thats my theory anyways!!!

rest assured no matter what frame he goes for it will be a Stunning bike when built up!

on a plus note, my uber light carbon saddle turned up today!! although not sure if i will be allowed to fit it prior to christmas!! 8)

    120G acording to the kitchen scales! 8) 8) 8)

120gm - that must be nearly half the weight of your bike!

BTW, Idless was great fun tonight. It is just wrong though, when you need to pedal to keep going down hills!!!!

  • haha! well it was on the list of 'things left on the bike that Arnt Carbon' lol! should save me about 200grams over the one i have at the mo, not that it will make the blindest bit of difference to the way i ride haha!

i did find a bridleway that Could have been fantasctic but for a hord of horses that had really ripped it up so much like you said, you had to pedal to get down hill! had a small hidden drop only a foot tops but the landing was so soft you just stopped dead! quite amusing!

i may not make it out on sunday now thoguh! i've managed despite my best efforts to pick up a throat infection which has hit hard, if i can i will be there but may be having to bail out gracefully before the start!

Mark - sorry I couldn't make it. Mrs Matt has a bit of a nasty cold and I've got a bit of one too (more like sinusitus though) - still rode this morning though and loved bunny hopping all the fallen branches from last nights wild weather! And still doing a lunchtime run as well.

What saddle have you gone for?

Mrs Matt has got well back into MTBing so getting her a few bits and bobs - MTB shoes, tight thingies, a wicking vest, better rear mudguard and some other stuff (non MTB clothes!). She's doing a 12 miler about three times a week now - impressive!

No probs Matt. There was a couple of us going, any others was just an open invite.

Timmo - I think I'll be doing a road ride on Sunday from Bissoe cafe. (on my road bike, that weighs more than your mtb).
