Hmmm - that would mean we would have about 7 torches! Very dark here at night so good lights are essential!
  • you could always turn your lid into a soort of Sci-fi divers look a like lid with alll maner of lights over the top of it!!! Super bright!!!!

I used this for my ultrafire, worked well, it's like the lockblock only abit larger and they both face the same way making it ideal for a helmet.

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

    Daz,

that would be good for a stem mount too, but not so good for bars unless you want to look sideways too!

Nah that is what the lockblock is, it bounced around too much, i ended up using two jubille clips instead but for a helmet the above one works great.

    Timmo,

are you still up for a blast round the woods tomorrow, come rain or shine? If so let me know what time, all I have to do is walk the dogs first thing, then I am pretty much free during the day.

    Cheers

    Mark,

The girls are "onholiday" and I will be back at work this week, but maybe next week when I get a better idea of the program....

Also we rode at Idless on Friday and since our last night the conditions have deteriorated some what, some of the parts that were just rideable (grip wise) were just gloopy mud. Siffice to say good fun was had by all though!

Wasn't your birthday on Saturday? If so Happy Birthday!

Oh are the leg and chest healing?

Last Wednesday actually - thanks. Wife took me to Dubai.

Still get a bit of bother with the chest. Went to Dartmoor on Friday. It was a little difficult to say the least. Had to take it very easy.

If no-one is out, might look to go up Dunmere Wed or Thurs night.

    Mark - PM'd you!

Timmo - will try my best!
  • Cookster, great ride today matey! really good fun, although a little cold hahaha! had a quick shower when i got in and left the plug in to warm my toes lol! but had to shoot out to get the littlun for 5! hadnt realised where the time had gone! (didnt think they'd appreciate it if i turned up Gaggled in mud lol!)

Nige, the first section of single track was Uber Slippy today! made it quite hard going! that and my complete lack of ability in the riding dept. hahah! but the other section of the woods with the three other routes was Very good going! even if Cooky managed to find a hub deep puddle to stop in!

one thing i did find though, half 4 is really about the limit for riding with out lights now!

think iddless will be a mud bath this sunday! but no doubt, a good laugh at the same time!!!

    Timmo,

sorry I missed the ride, this work thing is really getting in the way of my MTB'ing, looks like I'll miss Sunday too :( But should make the night ride tomorrow.

I agree I think Idless will be a mud storm!! WEY HEY.

  • Cheers Timmo really enjoyed that, some great trails around there. Knew I should've followed your line and not gone through "that" puddle!! :D
  • well i now have some waterproof socks on their way to me! hopefully be here for tomorow so i can have taosty dry and warm toes on sunday!! rather than ice blocks like yesterday hahaha!

Cooky, following my line isnt always that good though haha! i only managed to clip a couple of trees! hahah!
will have to sneek up during the weeks and get a bit more used to the route that starts off with the wood lumps as i think that could be done a Lot quicker with a bit of practice! and from there down to the bridge bit/northshore? would make a very good blast i think! good one for the adrenaline!
(nige, the one you spotted last week! on the last loop of the lower wood!)
