    Errrr.... got it now. (ahem).

It was a nice morning, anyway. Managed to ride for nearly an hour without getting lost for the first time :D. And then I went along with kent trails in the afternoon, so by no means a wasted day.

Think i'm gonna have to sit this one out- going camping that weekend with a uni group. Likely to either be in the middle of nowhere at that time, or extremely hungover.

    Deadpool, Pittpony, Giantalkali,
have you seen Lost-Times post, here?

He's suggesting we hook up wiv the Kent-Trails crew @ 9:30 @ Blean

What d'ya think? I'm good either way...
  • Depends on how long you wanted to do. I’m up for 2-3 hours, but on the Kent trails web site it says Sunday is 4-6 hours and I don’t fancy that this weekend (seeing as I don’t know the course)......But if every one else fancies that I will force my puny legs along the trails. :D

BTW what is Blean like on the ground? Is it muddy or stony??

Muddy, especially after last night's downpour!

On the website they say its a 4 hour ride. A bit daunting seeing as i'm doing about 15 miles both today and tomorrow, but i'm up for it if you guys are? Otherwise we can stick to the original plan...

Good point, actually. They do state a long run on sunday
I remember Lost-time mentioning that they don't hang about on a Sunday :?

Let's stick to Sunday, 8:30

    [reminder_mode]

I'll be there wiv black carrera on top of a black fiesta

    [/reminder_mode]
  • and I will be there in a blue ford galaxy. Impished i PM you my mobile number just in case i get lost on the way to rough common car park.

Let just stick to our original plan....

BTW one of my mates may come along also (if the LBS can fix his bike in time).

Thanks for that - i only remember what your back looks like from about 100 yards behind you ;)

No car for me again this week, i'll be on the grey Giant
BTW one of my mates may come along also (if the LBS can fix his bike in time).

    The more the merrier :D
  • Don't be shy....My sundays rides aren't that quick and as we're starting off from Blean it means you can easily cut short the ride down to a more reasonable time. If in doubt on if able to cut the ride down, please feel free to email Michael on the Kent trails website and he'll gladly sort out a short cut if needs be.

If not, I hope to catch up you guys soon.

Thanks Paul - that's a kind offer. Just bear in mind i struggled to keep up with Impished who said you guys were much quicker than him...

Any thoughts guys? I'm easy either way, will just be happy to get out! My ride today was a bit of a disaster so didn't end up going as far as i'd expected :(
  • I think stick to our plan as my mate is def coming and he is not that experienced and dont want to scare him of from the sport. if the other guys catch us up we can see how we do and join in.

Also i am going to try and stick my camera on my helmet (oh err) and see if i can get some footage....

So to recap its 08:30 at the car park on rough common.

    see you there......

Ok - sounds like the best plan 8)

Helmet cam?? OMG this could be a laugh :D

I can confirm after this morning that some bits are pretty muddy over there, but the singletrack was perfectly rideable. Well - the tracks we managed to find were mostly ok but i took one hell of a wrong turn somewhere!!

See you at 8.30 - Rough Common car park :D

    I'll be there.... 08:30(ish)
  • Do any of you guys ride Blean woods during weekday evenings? I usually ride there every evening on my own (is that i violin i hear :) ) so if anyone else is there it would be great to have some company.

lost-time: Are you doing the Thursday ride with Kent Trails? I wimped out of todays ride as i think i would struggle to keep up for 35-40 miles, so thought i would start off with a short one. I have never gone that far XC yet.

    Andy.
  • Good ride today my legs are cut to ribbons :D , so on to next week at bedgebury, again all welcome on the 18th early again.......

I will try and sort out the camera footage and post a link here. all you other guys pm me your email address and i will send you the still photos.

Had fun (even though I lost my legs somewhere  ). Looking forward to the pics/vid. :?
    Was another decent turn-out.
Who's turn is it to be "PUNCTURE KING" next time?
Maybe next time we'll take a BMX along
