Looking forward to it already :P
Hmm, time to dig the layers out :? Gonna be coooold tomorrow morning :roll:0 -
Yep - it's not going to be warm!! Did the Blean loop again this morning and my toes were STILL frozen solid at the end of it
See you tomorrow 8)0 -
hey guys, not gonna make it to sunny bedgebury tomorrow, which is arse as it looks like being bright and sunny. (if a bit chilly) have a good one and I will try to be there for next time0
-
Hmm, bit late to check but hoping someone is online... Do i need to head here tomorrow?
Well i'll head there anyway and give someone a call if i can't find anyone :oops:0 -
Hey Pony,
yeah thats the place, the entrance is very obvious as you drive along the road, if your paying for parking sometimes the main gate is open if not you can either pay at a machine which means you have to have £6 in coins or you can go to the visitors centre (only take cash or cheque) which is on the far left of the main building in front of the lake. Its much easier to have £6 in change as you dont have to go all the way tot centre and back.
Have a good ride tomorrow guys, im working nights unfortunately tongiht!
Anybody fancy a ride next sunday at blean? im about in canterbury.
Russ0 -
Thanks RussAlf. Good to know i'm heading for the right place!! I'm turning the house upside down at the moment looking for the last quid in change :? I've even tried down the back of the sofa...
Not sure about Sunday. I'd love to get out but i've got a mate over so might not manage it. I'll see if i can gently persuade him to get an early train home so i can come out...0 -
I'll probs be up for that RussAlf :PPITTPONY wrote:I'd love to get out but i've got a mate over so might not manage it. I'll see if i can gently persuade him to get an early train home so i can come out...0

That last section with the little jumps is ace
Hope you had nice bacon sarnies
Looking forward to seeing the cam footage0 -
Once again - great ride, cheers fellas!
A bacon sarnie was just the job after all that.
Looking forward to the footage too - saw the vids back at the cafe and they look like they came out pretty well. Just need to spend a couple of hours studying my techinque and ironing out a few of those cornering floors Started feeling sore the moment we stopped after my trip over the handlebars!0 -

I`VE BEEN RIDING NOW FOR 5 MTHS NOW AND I`M JUST LOOKING TO EXPAND MY HORIZONS A LITTLE SO GIVE A SHOUT IF YOUR UP FOR IT.0 -
Whoah..... quit with the CAPS  dude and you might get a sensible response. if you don't know why, read THIS
What/where riding d'you do?0 -
Great vids Deadpool I've been looking forward to those since Sunday! Just makes me want to go and hit those last 2 sections again :P
Dark Knight - you should come along to our next forum ride. We range from people who have only been riding a couple of months (i.e. me) to experienced riders and they're all top guys 8)0 -
THANKS FOR THAT PIT PONY I`LL KEEP POSTED AND POSS SEE YOU ON THE NEXT FORUM RIDE .AS FOR THE ABOVE CHAP WHO MADE THE COMMENT ABOUT CAPS .I ONLY STATED HOW LONG I`VE BEEN RIDING SO AS NOT TO DECIEVE ANYONE THAT I`M SOME SUPERFIT GO ANYWHERE CLIMB ANYWHERE BIKER .JUST AN ENTHUSIAST LIKE THE REST OF YOU ,IN IT FOR THE LUV OF IT ,NOT TO PROVE A POINT0
-
Hi Dark Knight.
I'm pretty sure that "impished" was not referring to any of the content that you gave, in fact it's great that you put the info in so people know how to respond, and an idea of what you're looking for.
His point was that the use of capitals in forums is generally only used to indicate shouting; i.e. for abusive messages. As he says, have a quick look through the forum rules, and particularly watch the flash movie about posting. Not just amusing, it helps everyone get on with each other.
All the best, enjoy the forum and enjoy the riding, Jess. :PProved by testing to be faster than a badger.
The world's ultimate marmite bike0 -
Great Vids again, second one is sweet.
So anybody up for a ride this weekend? Saturday or Sunday? weather is looking better for the saturday. Where do people fancy, Bedgebury, Blean, North downs?
Russ0 -
DarkNight, as "Big Southern Jessie" said ^^^^, I meant no offence with my previous post.
In most other forums you would be flamed and maybe even have your posts removed by moderators. (And I made no comment about how long you'd been riding.)
But anyway, as we have posted many times before, ALL are welcome on our get-togethers 8) and 5 months in the saddle should be plenty long enough to have got you hooked
I second PittPony's comments ^^^^, we're all just out for a fun ride on some decent singletrack (amazing the trails you can find hidden in Kent  ), and no one gets left behind (not even me, eh guys   )
As for this weekend, I should be good to go. (just gotta get permission from 'er indoors )
Anyyone got any preferences for location/time?0 -
If you lot end up in Blean i am up for Sat or Sun. That's assuming i survive riding with Kent Trails tomorrow. Last week was interesting to say the least!

Hi ,thanks for the advice ,all the above points taken and I look forward to seeing you all either Saturday or the Sunday p.s I`ve also rode with Kent Trails and they certainly do not take any prisoners but they`ve helped me to get some modicum amount of fitness .
It `s just nice now and then to be able to take a stroll now and then ,rather than full blown assault on the hills and singletracks .
Anyway thanks again for your kind responce (lesson learn`t), and look forward to hearing from you all about this week`s ride.0 -
Andy, glad you are coming again tomorrow with us. I was told you did not have any problem to follow so what do you mean by 'interesting to say the least'. just need to shout and the ride will slow down Just try the Christ Church college group that start at the same time as us and you will understand what speed is!
Paul aka lost-time should be there as well tomorrow assuming his front mech has turned up!
Dark Knight, I cannot remember you, what bike were you riding. Glad we can have been of some use_______________________________________________

Hi Blacksmith04 I was riding a Trek 6000 grey silver frame .If that helps to jog your memory if not maybe the fact that I`m probably the only black guy on these rides ,will help0

Hi mate. Nick and i went missing towards the end. I strugled big time in the last really tight bit through the trees, holding Nick up and losing the others. Think we went the oposite direction to them on the fireroad at the bottom, so me and Nick road back to Whitstable togather. Other than losing the rest of them it was a bloody good ride, and i am looking forward to tomorrow. I think i only strugled because my light was on the bars- got it helmet mounted now Should be able to keep up with the group through the trees tomorrow. Oh and i have put the longer stem back on too
See you tomorrow,

Hey guys,
Just watched the vids from Bedgebury last weekend, shame I was not able to make it as it looks cool. Saying that, I should be about this weekend if anyone wants to meet up. Do we fancy Blean? Or are we still hungry for Bedgebury?
Deadpool's vid on youtube makes him look like a biking Boba Fett, hunting down tiring Jedi like Carbonite is going out of fashion... (If this scenario means nothing to you then you are not as much of a Star Wars geek as me) Was he on a Motocrosser? Is the reason for the soundtrack just 'cos it covers the sound of his engine?
I'm gonna ride my Giant this weekend, so be prepared for me to curse on every uphill section, tho it does at least have sensible tyres now and not those street slicks.
Good to see that there is a bit of interest from others, Darknight - 5 months will be more than enough experience, I recently rode into a tree. Maybe with training and dedication you too can reach the extreme levels of riding that I achieve on a daily basis. Scroll back a few pages for details of my tree/testicle interface....

LOL no the reason for the sound track is so you can not hear me busting a lung, before the sound track was added if you closed your eyes it sounded like a 80's porn video
