    PANTER -
remember, it wasn't a race, just an easy way of getting like-minded people together. Next time we'll have to make sure we all go for a sarnie after
Have a look here and here or here for some decent vids & tips on improving skills. (yes, I know I need to view 'em a bit more   )

    Thanks Ade, appreciated 8)

I've seen most of the MTB Britain videos, its my regular home TBH. Did you know those loons did Cadair Idris recently  I find that a tough walk let alone ride
I'll have a good look at the other links when I get home as I'm supposed to be working, apparently

Don't you be watching those vids though, you were like a greased whippet through those trees as it was

    Cheers

Its good doing the same section a few times like we did with that last downhill as then you can remember bits you got wrong before, try different lines etc. I kept having trouble on that bit where there was the steep short downhill to the right, almost no front brake meant I just had to put it sideways to slow me down, new pads going in tonight! :)

deadpool2e: Regarding your Garmin. If you can load a route into memory map, try saving it (right click on it) as a .gpx file. Google Earth can apparently then open these if you load it and go to File-->Open so will hopefully overlay it
  • Mike - Black Giant, silly tyres + wingey brakes
  • Hey Neil (thorpey), Hows that rear brake now? Is it still dragging?

Well, I pushed your pads apart with a plastic tire lever.....

I'm going to try and sort out a ride around Blean woods on the 7th Oct so keep an eye out on the Blean thread.

I was over Bluebell Hill yeasterday. Did a fantastic (but shortish) DH only to be followed by a great(!) climb up a loose gravel path (the one with wooden steps...).......
  • Yeah i remember it being pretty technical!!

7th sounds good to me. ill check out that thread.

Is there any chance of letting one of the two kent threads die? It's starting to get a wee bit confusing.

Night ride sounds fun, might have to do one sometime soon. Could be a bit scary on my own though.

Heading to Westcott area tomorrow if anyone is around?

I made my own Impished. Cost about £100 all in using 20W MR16 bulb running off RC car battery packs. Far brighter than my friends £200 Lumicycle Halogens even though that had a 20w flood and 12w spot!

Would this be before of after the 'blean woods' thread I was thinking about as well?
