Great - at least i have one person to show me a few routes  Its great to ride with some company so glad you can make it. I'll PM the others later (at work right now with half an eye over my shoulder  )

How about a 9am start? I need to be back for lunchtime so wouldn't want to be too much later.

I'll be on a Giant XTC composite (silver / grey) with a blue crash lid. Doubt i'll bring the car as i'm nearby in Canterbury. You'll recognise me as the knackered one as i've got to get up that hill...

Don't worry about looking unfit - i have to admit i ride fairly slowly as I'm a bit of a noob! I'll do my best but don't go expecting me to disappear into the distance

Saturday it is then. Rain or shine? Hot or cold? I like the positive attitude! :D

If I can get my work done, I'll be there.

  • I work Saturdays other wise i would be there as never done blean and just found out its near the inlaws.
So one time soon if some one on a sunday would show me around that would be cool.

    Cheers

Yeah, I did the same Sunday  Did find a nice looooong piece of trail that was slightly downhill, and therefore FASSSSST. But it took me way off track and inbetween Dargate & Hernehill!!!! All part of the fun though (oh and yeah, I fell off too  )

    See ya Saturday 8)

I seem to remember you trying to fell a tree with your nut$ at one point   Bet you won't try that again
  • there are threads on other forums around the world discussing the huge tree felling capacities of my knackers... Redwood and Birch tremble alike when my walnut cluster is heading their way.

We MUST take a camera Saturday!!!! Any1 got a suitable camera?
I've been thinking of sticking my old camera-phone (wiv a big mem-card) on my helmet  if you know what I mean...

If no one's got a better solution I'll try the camera-phone-on-my-helmet options :?

Just follow me - you'll have plenty of footage for You've Been Framed and at £250 a clip you could be quids in

I've only got a stills camera - nothing i could really take video footage with. Might bring it along anyway if the weather is OK

    Really sorry Dunnoooo, :(
I musta got confused wiv previous posts, I thought you weren't coming

next time we'll have to exchange numbers to avoid such confusion. Again, sorry. Hope you had a good ride anyway.

Not to rub it in, but Pittpony and I had a good ride. Managed to follow Lost-Time's route (with a couple of wrong-way-diversions  )
13.5 miles of mostly single/double track. What a way to spend a Saturday morning. :P

Deadpool, I'll leave it to you to start the bidding for 11th. Bedgebury or Blean, early or late.

Sorry Dunnnooo, did you get my mobile number? You should have given us a call :(

Oh well hope you enjoyed the morning anyway!

Thanks Impished - that was a great morning out :D It was great to ride with someone who knows what they're doing (even if not quite exactly where they're going  ) Seriously though - great route! If i can remember it half as well as you did next time i go out i'll be happy :)

When i went back in I tried that short downhill bit i was saying i hadn't managed before and got through first time :D Still lots of work to do but at least i'm heading in the right direction! I also (somehow) managed to link up some nice flowing single track and found some lovely MUD :D

I'm well up for getting out next week if i can get the paperwork stamped by the boss ;)
  • I would like to do Blean on the 11th (as i have booked myself in at the inlaws) early is best for me 08:30-09:00 ish?? I am how ever up for Bedgebury tomorrow if any one is interested at around about the same time?? cheers
