I'm trying to stick with the supplied tires, at least for a while, but am not convinced, dont think they grip even as well as my 2.1 cinders!

I took them off without them even turning a wheel and will have them on Ebay soon enough. [;)]

The Racing Ralphs are apparently only 470 grammes each, for sake of comparison. [:0]

It's similar to Dalbeattie but a bit rougher in parts. McMoab isn't a concern as it's really grippy, but some of the other bits are good for just blasting down with a bit of tyre volume.

Maybe you don't want bigger rubber, but some of the rest of us do. We're used to taking our 2.2-2.5s around the stanes ;-)

No. Clumsiness had nothing to do with it. We use wider tyres so we don't have to wait as long at the tops of the climbs for you. [;)]
