Todays average speed was thirteenpointsomething.
Legs felt dead for the 1st 1/2 mile and the last 1/2 mile.

Yesterday's ride home was also 13.something (I left the thing in my kitchen)
The uberhill slows it down so much [:(] Average about 5.5mph up that biznatch!

Skinny and slick, yes [:D] Light... Surprisingly not really!
It's because of the sheer bloody size of the hill, I assure you [:D]

Hence the location.

AVG: 13.5 MPH
Dist: 7.5 miles (I must have wiggled less)
Time: 0:33:26
Max speed.: 39.5mph (no bloody shades this morning, I thought I had lost them!)
[editz0r]Rich - I only know because it said on it as I was taking it off! [:)]
And I would have been faster this morning, but (weirdly) the places I can usually get some speed up there were traffic queues. Damn them. It's a conspiracy to make me go slower!

Is for me. But, until you see the state of the roads I'd withhold comment! I want to try and take some pics, but I can't be bothered [:(]
A good example is the last road down on my normal way home. If it was a good surface, I'd be in the 52/12 or whatever the smallest is and speeding along. As it is, I stick in the 42/16 and don't go faster because it's painful

I'd say on the road parts of my commute I'm bobbing along at about 15 or so, its the offroad and uphills that bring the average down.

Aye, I can imagine! It's the traffic queues and bad surfaces that slow my time down (Oh, and the bloody big hills and unfitness, but meh to that!)

If its flat it'll be a more even pace where we can stay on target to hit 11mph average.
And you wont be muttering the word 'easy' at 3am.
