Training Update:

Distance: 19.74 Miles
Time 1:13:26
Average Speed: 16.1MPH
Calories Burnt: 1431
Average HR: 144bpm

Not too bad considering I'm nursing my leg and not pushing it. I've managed to increase my return ride to just under 11 miles, not a considerable jump, but more importantly, I'm away from the traffic so can ride faster and it also takes in a couple of 'inclines' just to make things more interesting.

The leg isn't aching as bad now I've ridden on it.

FTD is 7 miles

Average speed of 12mph.

That's the important bit and good going over that course!

Current thinking is that if we (as a Team) can ride at an average speed of 10mph, per lap, for the whole of the event, then in theory we can accomplish 30 laps. In practice, a target of 24 would be more realistic, which is 1 lap per hour, averaging about 7.5mph, which was about the speed I rode my last lap of D2D. [:D]

It took me 40 minutes to Coiler it to work this morning. 8 miles, hilly with both traffic and traffic lights. I was quite proud of me.

Height climbed (according to tearing info from google earth): 843 feet.

My total for both rides is 994ft - 587ft going and 407ft returning, with obviously different descents....

I'll try and take pics soon. Maybe get out this weekend. It's a rather big hill and my ride takes me up and across 3 different valleys... So lots of climbing.
