You don't have to ride.
You can turn up without a bike.
But turn up without cake at your own peril!

Home made cake is always prefered, however, I am rather partial to a Flake Fancy from Greggs. [:p]

Internally.
Scratch, internally.
And on Tuesday I overtook my first person on't big climb. Oooh, I looked on google maps too. My commute home has 600feet of climbing, with 480 of that in one long slog.

It does make most other climbs seem easy, especially when I've got some nice, low gears that just don't exist on the commuter.

Tuh, he's complaining, the climbs he has to do are hardly anything compared to the 2 feet average climbing I have to do biking to college!
.. so, will I get to see firm bottocks tonight? [^]

Anyways, I haven't ridden any of my bikes today, I've just spent the day fettling and removing some weight from the XTC (and I don't mean the saddle!)

Following the Easter weekend todays commute seemed very tired and sluggish, that said I still managed an average of 12.5mph.

Alex's Training diary:
Friday:
I spun round Llandegla on friday with Simon. He looked a bit out of breath so I assume I was working hard. Kept up with Snakebite on the bit<u></u>chy singletrack climb, fueled by solid pain. Played on JJ's jumps for an hour. Made a kid on a jump bike look incompetent whilst clipped in. Job done.
Sunday:
Spent all day gating and sprinting at Chicksands. It's good for the anaerobic fitness! Back next Sunday to spread the love.

Nice, we've got advertising going out tomorrow so there might be a few <s>visits</s> excuses to chuck the bike in't car.

Not ridden since the 'Saddle' incident.
I put on 4lbs over the weekend.
I shall be putting my body through some pain this week.
I may even get out on the bike......
Commute tomorrow, will include an 'extra' loop on the way home, which should take the return journey upto 12 miles (ish). I shall be looking to increase this distance to around 15 miles (which is 2 laps of the SITS course) as the weather and my fitness improve.
<b>I came across an interesting article in the DEC 2006 copy of MBUK about partaking in a Marathon Event like this, let me know if any of you need a copy as there is some very useful information.</b>

Obviously you wouldn't be photo copying/ scanning the actual page as thats bad, right?
Just jotting down a few notes in different colours to highlight important items.

Snapped the seatclamp bolt on the XTC, whilst riding, what can only be described as a washboard trail (used to be an old railway yard, and the trail still has the marks where the sleepers used to be), this resulted in me getting a rather 'unusual' injury from the seatpost. [:(]
