Just to put that into context, I used to run twice that speed when doing half marathons.....[;)]*
*On the flat though.
In all seriousness, ride as hard as you can going up the hills, it will improve your speed on the flat.

Thats just.....odd.
Problem is its right out of the door of my house so I never feel like I've warmed up, and riding round the block a few times just looks odd. As does dying at the top of a hill in front of a farm.

It took me quite a while to get up the uberhill last night on the coiler. But, spinning legs all the way will probably do me some good! I think...
There's no 4 or 5 mile relentless steep uphills on the course are there?

Lap is only 7 (ish) miles, and I would assume, but can't guarantee that there will be no hills. Personally, I'd like a few as that's where my competitive advantage is.
Matt - spinning is much better for your knees that churning a huge gear - also makes your leg muscles more supple. And TBH, and riding of a Coiler is good for you.

I'm sure between now and the race, my job will take me somewhere near catton hall. If so I'll go in, have a mooch round ans snap some of the topography.

Out of interest, have any other teams from here actually put pen to blank cheque yet?

Kinda really gutted.[V]
I shall still be going though, after a good hard 2 weeks training in the Alps. See you all there. Confirmation of my presence shall follow soon, and transport will be available if needed for anyone.[:)]
