I don't know. I just thought I'd take that from another thread to sound well informed.
OK - in any event, this could be interesting :)
do you not think this is very bad news for the Tories?

Bearing in mind recent election campaigns have been “coalition of chaos” and “but Corbyn”, I’d say it is.

Although a Scottish vote split between labour and SNP could see Tories pick up seats in Scotland.

surely more likely that Lbour gains more seats in Scotland than the Tories

Agreed completely. But I do see Tories picking up some.

But it’s a conversation including Stevo where the prism must be through the eyes of Tory wins.

Won’t make the blindest bit of difference in a UK election.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Labour currently have 1 MP, the tories 6. Current polling shows Labour could pick up 10-12, and the tories could be pretty much wiped out. A swing of 15+ seats could be significant and to be honest the way things are going that number could be more.

So don't be so dismissive. That's half the problem we have up here.

I predict the Labour majority to be much higher than 15.

Don't know if it'll affect the vote at the next GE but it'll be interesting to see Sturgeon squirm.

Not if it taints what she sees as her legacy. Even if in reality her legacy was a bit crap.

    I think it’ll hurt.

She’s clearly aiming to retain a public persona for all the riches that entails.

Her lifetime earnings potential swings massively on the outcome of the next few weeks.

I was referring to the next election result. She has more to worry about, as you say.

Why was Phil Mitchell from Eastenders looking after the SNP accounts?

He's my MSP. I've been getting bland yellow themed leaflets with his smug little face on it through the door for years, telling me independence is great because it would be great to be independent. Despite the fact that the fastest I can drive my car around here now is about 35 mph or it will break on one of the potholes.

I'd love to go to a hustings and ask why if they can't run a small member's club competently, they should be trusted to run a country - let alone create a new state.

Basically, I never really understood why, if you can sum up the entirety of the intellectual contribution of the SNP on an envelope sized flier most of which is a chubby bearded white man's face, that they spent all that money on the white papers.

    Monkeys, typewriters?

Phil Mitchell probably would have done a better job.

That video footage of Sturgeon warning NEC members about suggesting that the SNP may have financial issues strongly suggests she knew what was going on. At best she will be left with a toxic legacy, but let's see how this police investigstion goes.

Did you like the part where she says that people shouldn't talk about it because it will hinder open debate?

It's like that scene in the first episode of Chernobyl.

Yep. Quite amusing how she warns about leaks when someone is filming her.

I shall continue to watch with interest. Stuff like this makes you wonder how they could ever run a small country when they can't even manage a few hundred grand of party funds competently or honestly.

Priceless. The SNP treasurer who was arrested and questioned for 11 hours yesterday has resigned, saying it was a difficult decision.

    "Dear Captain Smith,

Reflecting on recent events, it is with great regret that I tender my resignation as night watchman for RMS Titanic, and I will be leaving the vessel with immediate effect.

    Sincerely,

    Mr F Fleet"

I guess independence supporters are 'sweating' a bit now? :)

I guess a thread devoted to bitterness and failure isn't that popular, even in Cake Stop.

    I'm loving it.

Particularly the way the SNP are addressing housing shortages across Scotland by purchasing motor homes.
