He is slowly getting better isn’t he?blazing_saddles said:Chris Froome ended up finishing 14th, five places and two minutes ahead of team mate Jakob Fuglsang.

Brussels Cycling Classic is on today, with a who's who of 2nd & 3rd tier classics riders.
It was won last year by Taco Van Der Hoorn with a 400m sprint and marks the return of Biniam Grmay after his crash (and subsequent concussion) in de Ronde0 -

He was 11th in the same race last year, looked better till the last climb then, was a false dawn.rick_chasey said:

Well the ladies refused to race for most of todays stage. At one point they stopped because of issues with the races motorbikes. They did race up the final climb though.0

From PCS "The UCI has taken the decision to stop Tour Féminin International des Pyrénées, to maintain safety of the riders.
Frankly I'm glad. The course management has been abysmal. Lost count yesterday of how many times cars were trying to get onto the course
EDIT: https://escapecollective.com/uci-cancels-tour-des-pyrenees-as-moolman-pasio-highlights-the-need-to-put-safety-first/0 -
Mont Ventoux race today - just getting to the start of the steep bit of the final climb
with 7km to go. Weather has meant it's been chopped in half so not the race expected.
Really big peloton 12 seconds behind the breakaway0 -
Customary shot of Froome getting dropped.0

It's a bit weird seeing them race up from Chalet Reynard relatively fresh.
Woods, Lenny Martinez, Christian Rodriguez are clear of the rest. Carr and Sosa struggling to go along.0 -
Good racing - they've messed about a bit and another bunch have come back to them. It's always so brutal.0
-
Martinez sprints up the top to take it - his first win. A star.
52kg according to PCS
Woods took the inside line around the last bend, but he was stronger.0 -
This is what happens when they come to it fresh...

I'm shocked! Shocked to find that what comes before a climb might effect the speed up it0

Surely all that proves is that doping is still a major problem? 😉kingstongraham said:This is what happens when they come to it fresh...

No, it just proves that aero bikes are faster. 😉Pross said:

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.1 -

Summit finish on the Stelvio, climbing from Bormio, in the Baby Giro today.0

Tour of Slovenia without pog is pretty weak. Groenewegen takes the sprint from Bauhaus.0

It's beautiful to see riders forgetting about who's on what team and just helping each other.

How dumb are they if they think they'd get away with that?
none deserve a pro contract.0 -
At a guess, some start doing it because their DSs tell them to (or fail to stop them), others join in because "everyone else is doing it" and some are just doing what they always do, but not smart enough to realise they're in a big race with a lot more attentionDorset_Boy said:How dumb are they if they think they'd get away with that?

At the other end, Staune-Mittet continues to look impressive, but I'm not sure what happened at 1:24 on this video.
