Big fan of Boardman generally. I don’t think punditry or commentary play to his strengths.

Big fan too. Find him quite interesting to listen to tbh.

Gold for Tiny Tom at his 4th games - chapeau sir!

Flipping hell! I had no idea he or they rather were in that kind of form, not that I follow diving outside of worlds or Olympics. Well that’s rounded off a brilliant career nicely, gold medal, life achieved, job done. Lest hope he can do the same in the individual.

Peaty is a flipping animal! Born winner. Our only nailed on Gold pre Olympics. Awesome swimmer.

    Superb hour for GB&NI.
I watched the skateboarding for a while yesterday and just don't get it. Admittedly I can't even stand on one but what I saw seemed no different to watching kids outside most shopping centres. It seemed to lack any spectacle to my untrained eye.

It is highly technical, but your point will be familiar to most. The park ride event should prove more interesting to the average viewer. Men's especially.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Exactly my thoughts. Like watching kids in a skate park. Doesn’t work visually. Not sure how skateboarding is a Olympic event. Is there a big wooden ramp thingy event for the skateboards as well? That seems slightly better to watch.

Men's park next Thursday. 02:00-03:15 though.

Just watching the triathlon on iPlayer......

🤯 Whoever was doing the start needs to be spoken to rather strongly. Possibly with a piece of 2x4!

Flores - Stance: Regular vs Wright - Stance: Goofy.

The true Olympic viewing experience. I have no idea.

The daft things is, neither the starter or the ES commentators seemed aware of a boat in the way. Wasn’t just a kayak either.

I've made up my mind. Surfing definitely needs to be watched on highlights, not live.

You sure you're watching it right? This is the Olympics. 20 minutes of watching any sport should be enough to make you an expert 😃

The judges don't value a tube ride highly enough for my liking.

Ketones is what the doperati are getting upset by but they ain't illegal - Ineos certainly use them.

All standing on a board based events have riders being either goofy or regular depending on which foot is forward. Regular is left foot forward, goofy right foot forward.

Are you sure about Ineos Rick? Unless their policy has changed.
Jumbo Visma are the ones who have been quite public about using them.
Chris Froome reportedly had to Google 'ketones' when questioned by a journalist. We asked James Morton, Sky's nutritionist between 2015 and April 2019, and he told us the team never used ketones in his time there. What about before? "No, the team never used them as far as I know," Morton replied.

Fairly sure all the top teams use them. Have a recollection pro-cycling did a long piece on them and how the pros train with them, using Sky as the case example.

Why don't the judges seem to value tube riding very highly?

The team full of favourites (the Dutch) forgot that she was out in front...so when they won silver, they thought they had won gold.
