The point I'm making as flippantly as possible is that the focus of the website and the overall messaging is profoundly off putting.

Off-putting to you, clearly. The club has over 500 members though. Maybe they don't share your opinion.

They are in a city of 8 million people though. The home town of the club I don't have time to ride with has about 80 members and a population of 20,000.
Your point would only be valid if LD was the only cycling club in London, which it obviously isn't. BC's 'club finder' lists 195 cycle clubs in the London region.

dude they're a bunch of bell endz. some time ago i was racing in france (hanging on for as long as possible then getting dropped) and LD had been invited what a bunch of out of place self important slow loser cockwombles.

i think any club that talks about inclusion and diversity is likely to be a bunch of non inclusive bell ends with rules about club kit or helmets or qualifying to ride.

takes all sorts but socially incompetent confidence lacking narcissists seem drawn to cycling clubs where their delusions about their abilities can be pandered to by other numpties. Steer well clear.

Because my grandson has to ask me how to change gear on his frog bike. To give MF his due he appears to know a bit more about bikes.

Well MF has several bikes which appear to include a Pinerello and a Cervelo. Round at the son in laws there is a Frog bike, a Giant and a John Deere tractor bike. Whilst I’m no Miss Marple I pretty sure that they are not one and the same.
However tomorrow after taking said grandson for his swimming lesson, I will be giving the garage the once over.

Sounds like special edition BR cluedo.

A clubbie's been murdered. It was MF in Webboo's son-in-law's garage with the frog bike.

    Hmmm.

I shall give you this one, Inspector.

If it wasn't for that pesky Webboo I would have got away with it.

Big for a park. 6ish mile loop if I remember correctly. Lots of rabid dogs called Fenton chasing deer.

So this thread came about because a member of London Dynamo was riding on his disc braked bike looking at his numbers and he had to brake when the lights turned red. However he wasn’t aware that MF was on his wheel riding my grandsons Frog bike.
I think someone needs to text Boris to see if you can get tax relief on club kit.

So how does this work then?

Is it like you're just cutting home one day from work and someone from Dynamo talent spots you and you get a card in the post inviting you to try out for their club where, if you display enough talent, potential, speed, dedication and the necessary attitude they will let you ride your bicycle with them?

Do Dynamo have talent scouts dotted all around London then?

Think the invite comes in the post with Nandos black card.

Am intrigued at what stands you out to be a potential Dynamo.

Do they have a checklist to gauge you against or are they such ardent talent spotters they can spot la grinta at a hundred yards/4 jumped red traffic lights?

is there like a committee meeting where they discuss each potential new member?

I reckon you definitely have to be interested in your numbers and have discs brakes.

Sounds like Box Hill which if you listen to London based riders seems to be essentially Alpe d'Huez but in Surrey.
