Isn't it a bit oversimplistic from an armchair to say "he looked shook up, must be concussion"? I know the pros probably fall more than the rest of us so are a little bit used to it, but looking shaky after a tumble with no head contact at all is entirely normal isn't it; not saying that the medics are being as precautionary as they could be, but on the ground treatment / conversation / assessment trumps "I saw those pictures on TV and I could tell he should have had a better assessment because the way his knees wobbled".

Not sure how you got the impression Bennett's head didn't make contact with the ground when his helmet was shattered?
That's not what I meant; I meant even if you got the ground without hitting your head you look and feel shaky so those characteristics aren't just associated with a head impact. Of course Bennett hit his head, that was never in doubt. It's just the armchair diagnosis that frustrates me. (Sorry for the very late reply!)

Just switched on with 25 to go

    CHAOS!!!

Roglic missing a large part of his shorts and is 1.34 back.

Bora are certainly embracing the 'no gifts' Philosophy of yesterday...

Edits - Roglic appears to have been down twice. One earlier in the stage and a second 'recently'

LJ have burned themselves off to get him as close as possible

Roglic trying to get back on, it's him and Bouhanni working to get back on.

EVERYONE in the peloton is working to put him out the back for good, looked like he was nearly back on at one point, he got to 19s but now back out to 34

Roglic on his own vs three teams at Full Gas....

Gap isnt as big as I thought - 34 s but going up

    (Schachman is 52 behind)

Weird how they aren't giving him a chance to get back on after a crash. Almost like he done something that annoyed them.

Roglic is done for here. He'll probably be out of the top ten on GC at the end

    Well this is a surprise.

Did he crash before TV coverage went live? I’ve just switched from Tirreno.

Getting help from other riders though which implies not everyone is annoyed with him. Think it is more likely that some teams fancying winning.

If you think Roglic should've let Madler won yesterday, then by the same rules, the others should have waited for the Yellow Jersey today.

How far is it to the climb? If Astana and Bora start looking at each other it could get interesting

Don't think Roglic did anything wrong yesterday.

And part of racing is staying on your bike.

GC group begins to play with each other with 10 to go...

Considering he's been on his own tot he last 10 k too, Roglic is climbing like a man possessed!

Schachman with the decency not to whoop it up too much.

The way Roglic has rode makes this look even more cruel for him... Even sprints into the Finish, then immediately congratulates Schachman.

Roglic has huge mental strength. How many riders would have knocked it off on the last climb after going that far down? I'm impressed.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

Interesting that Mäder finishes top 10, with Roglic outside.
It doesn't mean much but I dare say Mäder will have a slight smile.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Why did so many teams ride against Roglic after his crash?

Because they didn't like him taking the stage from a neo-pro yesterday when he didn't need to.
Early season races are a time to make friends, not enemies, for the bigger races later on when you may need a favour.
